Hi spiritual family! In this season of giving thanks this scripture was laid on my heart to share with you. I’m truly grateful for all that God has done and continues to do throughout my life. I hope that you are grateful for all he has done in your lives also.
Please be reminded to give thanks to God for all things. We are all living testaments of his goodness and unwavering love. We must continue to tell the world who God is and spread his goodness through our testimonies and good works.
Hi my spiritual family! Please be reminded by this scripture that you are royalty. We are god’s chosen ones who are destined for greatness. We must always remember that from Him all good things flow and He wants the best for us. He gives us grace and empowers us to do great works. He deserves all of the glory and the honor!

I’ve been holding this in for a minute because I wanted to make sure there was content for you to enjoy and that I was proud to introduce it to you guys. I remember thinking that waiting on something from God meant praying to him about what you want him to bless you with and sitting still waiting for it to come to pass. I now realize that one should not sit still and focus on receiving the blessing, but one must get in preparation for it while waiting. I am the type of person that likes to jump to the end of a book or movie and then go back to read the beginning. I never noticed it, but this is my way of staying in control of the end outcome and preparing how to react to surprises that may occur in between. This is not the way that God reveals his plan for our lives to us.
Instead, he reveals his plan to us in parts. Each part is what you need in the present moment to help you reach the next step on your purpose journey. He also showed me during the waiting that in order for him to allow the blessings to flow in my life, I must surrender my will, have faith, and trust in him to do the rest.
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth”.
Psalms 46:10 KJV
God is sovereign. He is in control of every aspect of our lives. We must move out of the way and let God complete the great work in our lives that he started when he created us. Remember that he wants the best for us and for us to become the best versions of ourselves. We can only surrender to God and completely trust in him when we study and learn who He is. As I began reading his word and talking to God during the waiting period, my faith and trust in him increased.
As I began to get closer to him, he revealed to me the purpose he was preparing me for. Every experience that has happened in my life has prepared me for such a moment and time as this. At times on this purpose journey, I wanted to give up and even doubted that I was equipped to be used by God. But God has a sense of humor. He shook things up in my life and placed me in a valley to spring forth new life in me.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk; and not faint”.
Isaiah 40:31 KJV
God is reminding us that if we continue to trust in him and center our minds on him, he will restore our strength in times of weakness and when our hope is lost. I hope that you take away from this that it is imperative to enjoy the periods of waiting and take this time to reflect on who God is and his goodness. In time, he will connect the dots and align your life with his purpose for you. Remember that he is preparing you for greatness and adding to your testimony to inspire others. Trust and have faith in him to finish the great work he has begun in your life.
Hi my Sassy family! Growing up I used to think that beauty was based on one’s physical appearance and how others perceived me. I remember looking at the models in fashion magazines and wishing that I could be a model and wear the most popular designer clothes. I soon discovered as a teen, that I felt most beautiful when I was the most natural and authentic version of myself. It was then that I discovered that beauty starts within and radiates outwardly. I must admit that there were many times that I lost sight of my true identity and that I am beautiful just the way I am. I got caught up in comparing myself to others and putting others’ needs before my own. I soon realized that I needed to heal inner wounds to pour love back into myself.
When I began my self-love journey as an adult, I discovered that beauty is how God sees me. One of the scriptures that sticks out to me is Psalms 139:14, “I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvelous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.” God created us in his image and intentionally designed us for his purpose. He sees our imperfections as perfect. We are made perfect only through him. I can now embrace the real me unapologetically and comfortably. I understand that not everyone will understand or accept me for who I am. I know who I am and whose I am and that’s all I need. I aim to please him with all that I am and will put my hands to do.
I hope that you take away from this that you were born to stand out on purpose. Someone in the world needs you just the way you are. You never know whose life you will make a great impact in by living a life of purpose. We must shine our lights bright to spread his love and draw others to him. We are living testaments of God’s glory.
