Hi Sassy fam! This quote affirmed me and wanted to share it with you! All my life I have struggled with acceptance and embracing the real me. In this season of growth and renewal, I have discovered my identity and purpose. I
am finally able to be unapologetically me without caring about who is unable to accept this version of myself. Always remember that you God intentionally made you the way you are for his plan and purpose.
The world needs you just the way you are to shine your light in the midst of the darkness. Your light was meant to shine to show people the way to hope and love!
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.”
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
Hi my spiritual family! This scripture was laid on my heart to remind you to always keep your mind on God. In my experience when things are out of control, trusting and centering my mind on God calms me. He always keeps his promises and is the solid rock I can stand on in times when I’m uncertain and unstable. His holy spirit gives you peace that can’t be explained. It empowers you to overcome whatever life throws your way to distract you and cause you to focus on unfortunate circumstances.
Always remember that he is sovereign, bigger than any problem or situation. We must lean into him so that he can reveal the depths of his character to us. By depending on him with our whole hearts, we are surrendering our will and letting go of control over the outcome of the circumstance. This increases our faith in him which gives us the strength to endure until the end of a difficult season. Who will you put your trust in today?
I have some words of encouragement from my heart to share with you. At times you will miss your dad, but you must always remember that he is watching over you from heaven. His contagious smile, fearless spirit, and kind heart lives through you. You were his precious gift. You must remember your value.
In those times when you feel like you don’t fit in, worthy, or loved remember that God loves you. You were fearfully and wonderfully made for his purpose. You are enough and perfect just the way you are.
There will be challenges and disappointments that come to distract you and discourage you from speaking your truth, walking in your purpose.
You must learn to put your faith and trust in God. He will recenter your focus and give you strength to keep going forward on your purpose journey.
Be sure to forgive those who may hurt you along your journey. This is necessary for your heart to heal and to unblock the blessings that are yet to come!
Things may not make since to you now, but as you grow older, God will reveal to you why everything happened in your life, good and bad. Your life is like a puzzle and each piece fits together to create the bigger picture.
People, places, and things that are meant to go with you on your path will align in his timing to help you grow gracefully into the woman you are destined to become.
Hi, my Sassy fam! As the beginning of the Spring season gets nearer, I’ve been going through a period of reflection and revival. I’m at a place now on my journey where I can’t go back to the woman I used to be because I have unlearned the victim mindset and the need to be accepted. I know what I deserve, and I no longer feel guilty about setting boundaries, voicing my opinions, and making my expectations known.
I am unapologetically me. I am like a flower that has been planted, cultivated, and ready to bloom in at a set time, and season. I have begun to embrace the dream woman I am becoming, who is worthy to receive love, pursue my passions, and create my dream life.
I’m gaining confidence and committed to showing up for this version of me. It hasn’t been easy and there have been growing pains, but I’m finally able to reflect on past experiences, take the lessons learned, and use them as motivation to propel me forward in hope of the great things that are yet to come.
The scripture that was laid on my heart to share with you today is Jeremiah 24: 6 KJV:
“For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down, and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.”
Jeremiah 24:6 KJV
Please be reminded that God’s intention for us is become the best version of ourselves and to unleash great things in our lives. However, he wants to help us grow and mature spiritually to prepare us for any obstacles and challenges we may experience along the way to the destination. If we put our trust and lean into him, he will build us up and give us strength when we are weak, joy in sadness, safety in times of fear, and beauty in the ashes.
Remember to bloom where you are, and that God has you planted there for a reason. If you take the time to look at the lessons and growth opportunities, you will continue to move closer to the place he desires for you to elevate to. Don’t let distractions knock you off the path that God has set for you. If we keep our eyes on him, he will lead and guide us every step of the way.
Hi Sassy squad! Spring is in the air! It is truly one of my favorite seasons. I feel rejuvenated and refreshed. The sunshine smiles on my skin. Nature comes back to life after the cold storms of winter.
The trees start to flourish and the flowers bloom. Animals come out of hibernation and become active again. In the same way that rebirth occurs in nature it can happen in your life also.
Rebirth can only begin once you release anything that hinders you from becoming your best self or living your dream life. Who will join me in living their best life in this season and many to come. Tis the season of rebirth!
Hi, Sassy squad! February, the month of love is quickly approaching and I wanted to share with you what was laid on my heart. On my self-love journey, I have been unlearning all that I once knew about love. I once thought that love was putting others’ desires and needs above myself. I was so afraid of losing people in my life that I went out of my way to make them happy while losing myself in the process. God healed my heart by first reminding me how much he loves me and teaching me how to love myself.
"We love because he first loved us."
1 John 4:19 NIV
After discovering self-love, he helped me to see that I am worthy of receiving the love that I give to others. He helped me discover that the only way to receive the type of love I desire, is to strive to be a reflection of the love that I desire by releasing anything that is unclean in my heart. I took accountability and began the deeper healing work by forgiving myself and others who have hurt me.
This wasn’t easy, but throughout the healing process, God kept reminding me that he wants the best for me and for me to become the best version of myself. He revealed to me that healing is necessary to live a life of peace, freedom, and to unblock the blessings that he has in store for me.
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23 NIV
My heart is renewed, open, and ready to accept love as my higher self, the woman I am becoming. I have a healthier perspective on love. It is truly a gift that can not be controlled or contained. It is meant to be reciprocated and not one-sided. It is not meant to be chased, but it will find me at its appointed time. In love, there is value and respect. There is compassion, patience, and safety. God is love. We were created in his image. Love is you and me!
Hi, my Sassy fam! I can’t believe it’s the last day of 2022…Happy New Year!!! May your year be blessed and overflowing with happiness and abundance. I must say that 2022 was the year of walking into my purpose for me. I started my self-love journey in 2021 and I rediscovered that I am worthy of love and that God intentionally created me just the way I am.
This revelation helped me to walk fearlessly in my purpose to spread God’s love, empower women to live boldly, use their voices, and embrace their beauty inside and out in 2022. I’m so grateful to you all for allowing me to take you along on this purpose journey with me and I hope that we can continue to grow together into who we are destined to become.
I’m amazed at where I am now on my journey and excited about the woman I am becoming. Facing my fears of walking in my purpose has redirected my focus and reignited my drive and determination to make my dreams come true in 2023. I hope that you will be inspired to go after your dreams in the new year. Please be encouraged and know that a delayed dream is not a denial. I am a witness that if God placed a dream in your heart, he will bring it to pass even if it doesn’t manifest when you expect it to.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
