Have you ever went through a season of hardship and felt like it would never end and there was no light at the end of the tunnel? Well, I have repeated this season many times along the road of my life. When I look back, I must say that each time I felt like this was the end and that I couldn’t go on any further, I realized that God allowed the hard seasons to come in order for me to flourish. The dictionary defines flourish as growing luxuriantly, or thriving in growth, as a plant. When I think of a plant, it starts as a seed in the ground. In order to grow, it needs water, nutrients in the soil, and sunlight. It is a long process for the seed to become a plant. The seed endures the harsh weather elements, but somehow retains nutrients needed to flourish in the end. Each seed flourishes into a plant in its own season of harvest. In the same way a seed is predestined to flourish into a plant, so are we. The next time you face a season of hardship in your life, just remember that it was predestined to happen in order to help you walk boldly into your season of growth. Ultimately, God’s gets the glory and your season of growth is the beginning of a new life of purpose.
Isaiah 17:11 King James Version (Verse of the Day)
“In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.”
