Hello, Sassy family! While enjoying, Dove Chocolate, one of my favorite chocolate candy brands, I came across this quote inside the wrapper and it inspired me so much that I had to share it with you. I’m sure many of you can relate: whenever I walk into a room, I make it a point to show up as my true, unique self. In a world filled with stiff professionalism and impersonal interactions, it can be easy to feel like you don’t blend in.
But as someone who tends to be more quiet and an observer, fashion has always been my way of expressing the creative, fun, and bold sides of my personality. I hope this message reminds you to embrace your own light—especially in those moments when darkness seems to surround you, and others may not be open to receiving it.
Never underestimate the power of your presence. Whether through your voice, your hairstyle, makeup, or the colors and style of your outfit, you can brighten any space. It’s taken me a lifetime to learn this, but I’m realizing that it’s never too late to dance to the beat of your own drum.
