“Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.” — Jeremiah 31:13 (NIV)

Hello family! Have you ever felt like the music of your life just…stopped? Like sorrow silenced your joy, and dancing felt like a distant memory? God sees that place. In Jeremiah 31:13, He speaks directly into seasons of deep weariness, offering a breathtaking promise to His children: “You will dance again.”

This verse reminds us that not only does sorrow come to an end—it is transformed. Grief gives way to gladness, pain is reshaped into comfort, and despair blossoms into joy. In the hands of grace, even our deepest sorrows become the foundation of renewed hope.

In moments when hope feels distant, we must always hold onto the truth that God remains faithful and unchanging. He is the One who meets us in the valley, who catches every tear, and who gently restores our ability to laugh, sing, and yes—even dance. Whether you’re young or seasoned, weary or waiting, this promise is for you. Your joy is not lost. Your story is not over.

The God who walks with you in mourning is the same God who leads you into dancing.

Prayer:

Lord, I bring You every piece of my sorrow, every ache I’ve carried in silence. Thank You for being the God who turns mourning into gladness. Restore my joy. Help me believe that laughter and dancing are still part of my story. I trust You to make all things new. Amen.

Encouragement for Today:

Your present tears do not cancel your future joy. God is already at work, turning your sorrow into a celebration.

Stay Encouraged and Live Faithfully!

Love,

Hope for the Holidays🙏🏾…

Hello, Sassy fam! The holiday season is upon us, also known as the most wonderful time of the year! I remember thinking as a child that Christmas was all about giving and receiving gifts. I learned later as I grew older that this season is about so much more. The birth of Jesus was just the beginning of miracles in this season. Jesus is our gift of everlasting love and salvation. We were created in His image to reflect his love and share it with others.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Ephesians 2:10 KJV

Spreading the good news of who He is and displaying acts of love to others is our way of giving thanks to God for this gift of his son, Jesus. The more we become like Jesus through our thoughts and lifestyle, the more we put our faith into action. We become a living reflection of who He is and a light to the world.  Please remember that this season is bigger than personal gain. It is about sharing with others that they too can have hope in times of despair and discouragement if they believe and put their trust in Him. May this season fill you with an abundance of hope, joy, peace, love, and magical memories with your loved ones.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15:13 KJV
