Savvy Reflections🩷: Who Am I Becoming Through the Work I Do?

Hello Sassy family,

Have you ever looked up from your busy schedule and wondered, “Am I becoming the person I truly want to be… or am I just surviving my responsibilities?”

It’s a real question. Because somewhere between deadlines, meetings, expectations, and trying to keep everything together, many of us become so focused on achieving that we forget to check in with who we’re actually becoming along the way.

We spend so much time thinking about what we’re doing that we rarely stop to ask a deeper question: Who am I becoming through the work I do?

Many of you can probably relate. Work has a way of shaping us. Every deadline, challenge, disappointment, success, and responsibility is doing more than building a résumé. It’s building you.

The truth is, success means very little if the process turns you into someone you no longer recognize. That’s why it’s important to check in with yourself beyond productivity and performance.

Are you becoming more compassionate? More courageous? More disciplined? More authentic? Or are you becoming disconnected, burned out, and emotionally drained trying to meet everyone else’s expectations?

Your work should not only produce results. It should also produce growth.

And growth doesn’t always look glamorous.

Sometimes growth looks like learning how to speak up for yourself in rooms where you once stayed silent. Sometimes it looks like setting boundaries without guilt. Sometimes it looks like choosing peace over proving yourself. And sometimes it looks like walking away from environments that no longer honor who you are becoming.

Never let hustle culture convince you that achievement is more important than alignment.

The version of you you’re becoming matters just as much as the goals you accomplish.

You were not created to simply survive your workdays while abandoning yourself in the process. You deserve work that challenges you and nurtures your becoming. Work that sharpens your gifts instead of shrinking your spirit.

Because at the end of the day, the greatest success is not just building a career. It’s building a life and identity you’re proud to live in.

Reflection Question

Is the work you’re doing helping you grow into the person you truly want to become?

Who you’re becoming is just as important as your achievements.

Stay Sassy. Stay Savvy. Stay True.

Soul Food 🙏🏾🪴🩷: When the Waters Rise, God Is With You

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hello family! Have you ever faced a season where the challenges seemed to come one after another and you wondered how you would make it through?

Life has a way of bringing us into seasons we never expected. Sometimes the waters rise in the form of disappointment, heartbreak, uncertainty, or unanswered prayers. Other times, we find ourselves walking through fires that test our faith, stretch our patience, and challenge our strength.

Challenges are a part of life, but God’s promise is not that we will avoid them. His promise is that we will not face them alone.

The waters may rise, but they will not overwhelm you. The fire may surround you, but it will not consume you.

There may be situations in your life right now that feel bigger than your ability to handle. You may be wondering how everything will work out. This verse is a reminder that God’s presence is greater than any obstacle you face. What feels overwhelming to you is never overwhelming to Him.

Today, choose to trust that God is walking with you through every challenge. The same God who carried you through previous seasons is carrying you now. Your circumstances may not change overnight, but His faithfulness remains constant.

You are not abandoned. You are not forgotten. You are not facing this season alone.

God is with you in the waters. God is with you in the fire. And because He is with you, you can keep moving forward in faith.

Reflection Question:

What “waters” or “fires” are you facing today, and how can you intentionally trust God’s presence instead of focusing on the size of the challenge?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me through every season of life. When challenges arise and fear tries to take hold, remind me that I am never alone. Help me trust Your presence more than I trust my circumstances. Strengthen my faith, guide my steps, and give me peace knowing that You are carrying me through every storm. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Affirmation:

I will not be overwhelmed by the waters or consumed by the fire, because God is with me wherever I go.

Stay Sassy. Stay Savvy. Stay True.

Sassy Mindset💋… The Quiet Power of Dignity

Hello Sassy family, have you ever noticed how the strongest women in the room are not always the loudest? Sometimes, their strength is revealed in the calm way they carry themselves, the boundaries they uphold, and the grace they maintain even when life becomes difficult.

“Dignity is the quiet power that speaks volumes about a woman’s strength.” ~Author Unknown

This quote is a reminder that dignity is not about perfection, pride, or pretending to have it all together. It is about knowing your worth without needing constant validation from the world around you. A woman with dignity understands that her value does not decrease because someone fails to recognize it. She moves with confidence, wisdom, and self-respect even in moments when she feels misunderstood.

In a world that often encourages people to react quickly, prove themselves endlessly, or seek attention for approval, dignity teaches us something different. It teaches us the power of restraint. The power of walking away from what no longer aligns with your peace. The power of choosing grace over chaos.

I am learning that true strength is not always found in fighting every battle or explaining yourself to everyone. Sometimes strength is remaining rooted in who you are while allowing your character to speak for itself. That quiet confidence carries more power than words ever could.

At times, we will face moments that test our patience, confidence, and identity. But dignity reminds us to stand tall without losing ourselves. It reminds us that softness and strength can coexist. Grace is not weakness, and silence does not mean absence of power.

Reflection Question:

What would change in your life if you fully embraced your worth and carried yourself with dignity, even in spaces where you feel unseen or undervalued?

Stay Sassy. Stay Classy. Stay True.

Live fearless!

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷: What God Has for You Is Bigger Than You Can See

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, Neither have entered into the heart of man, The things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
‭‭
1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hello family! Sometimes life can feel discouraging when things are not happening as quickly as we hoped. You pray, work, heal, grow, and trust… yet you still cannot fully see what God is doing behind the scenes. But that is the beautiful part about walking by faithGod’s plans are often bigger than our imagination can hold.

1 Corinthians 2:9 reminds us that the blessings, opportunities, healing, peace, connections, and purpose God has for you are beyond what you can currently picture. Even your biggest dreams may still be too small compared to what Heaven has prepared for your life.

That closed door?

It may have protected you.

That delay?

It may be preparing you.

That season of uncertainty?

It may be building the version of you that can handle the blessing that is coming.

Don’t allow temporary frustration to convince you that God has forgotten you. Sometimes the greatest blessings are being formed in places your natural eyes cannot yet see.

Keep showing up.

Keep praying.

Keep believing.

Keep becoming.

Your current chapter is not the final chapter.

God is still writing a story that will exceed your expectations in ways you never imagined. And one day, you will look back and realize that what felt like confusion was actually divine preparation all along.

Reflection Question:

What would change in your mindset if you truly believed God’s plans for you were greater than anything you could currently imagine?

Stay Sassy. Stay True. Stay Savvy.

Sassy Mindset💋…Do it Anyway: Stepping Into the Life You’re Meant to Live

Hello Sassy family! I don’t know who can relate to overthinking, procrastinating, and letting your thoughts talk you out doing the thing that will help you become your best self and bring you joy in the long run. If any one needs  push to do that thing  like I do… this quote was laid on my heart to share it with you.

“You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt

Many of you can relate…doing the thing you think you cannot do sounds inspiring until it’s time to actually do it. That’s when the doubts get loud. That’s when fear starts disguising itself as logic. “What if I fail?” “What if I’m not ready?” “What if people judge me?” And just like that, we convince ourselves to stay comfortable instead of stepping into growth.

We must remember that the very thing you’re avoiding might be the doorway to your next level.

Take it from me that growth has never lived in comfort. Confidence isn’t something you magically wake up with, it’s built every time you choose courage over fear. Every time you show up despite the doubts. Every time you try, even when success isn’t guaranteed.

Doing the thing you think you cannot do isn’t about perfection, it’s about permission. Permission to start messy. Permission to learn as you go. Permission to not have it all figured out and still move forward anyway.

Think about it: what’s that one thing that keeps tugging at your heart? The dream you keep postponing. The risk you keep avoiding. The step you keep overthinking.

Now imagine what your life could look like if you just… tried.

Because sometimes, the breakthrough isn’t waiting on more preparation, it’s waiting on your decision to move.

So this is your reminder:
You don’t have to feel ready.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You just have to be willing.

Do the thing.
Send the message.
Start the project.
Speak up.
Show up.

And watch how life begins to meet you on the other side of that decision.

You are more capable than your fear wants you to believe.

Reflection Question:
What is one thing you’ve been telling yourself you “can’t” do and what would taking the very first small step toward it look like this week?

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷… Love That Lives: An Easter Reflection on Sacrifice, Strength, and Resurrection

“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”

~1 John 3:16

Hello and Happy Easter family! As we reflect in this season, we are invited into a deeper understanding of love that is sacrificial, unwavering, and transformative. Easter is not only about the resurrection; it is about revelation. It reveals that love is not passive. Love shows up. Love sacrifices. Love chooses others even when it costs something. And in a world that often defines love by feelings, Easter redefines it through action.

1 John 3:16 reminds us of the depth of God’s love and how we must choose to intentionally walk in love daily out of reverence for Him.

Jesus didn’t just talk about love, He embodied it. The same love that led Him to the cross and raised Him from the grave lives in us.

That means every day, we have the opportunity to live this love out:

  • When we choose forgiveness over bitterness
  • When we extend grace instead of judgment
  • When we show up for others even when it’s inconvenient
  • When we honor our own worth as someone deeply loved by God

This kind of love requires something from us. It requires surrender. It requires courage. It stretches us beyond our comfort zones.

But it also transforms us.

Because when we begin to love like this, we don’t lose, we gain. We step into freedom, peace, and alignment with God’s heart.

So, walk boldly. Love deeply. Forgive freely. And rise daily into the fullness of who God created you to be.

This is your season of resurrection, around you and within you.

Reflection Question:
What is one specific way I can demonstrate sacrificial love this week, even if it feels uncomfortable?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for showing me what true love looks like through Your sacrifice. Help me to not only receive Your love, but to live it out boldly each day. Give me the courage to love selflessly, the strength to forgive, and the grace to extend kindness even when it’s difficult. Transform my heart so that I reflect You in all that I do. Let my life be a vessel of Your love, bringing light, healing, and hope to those around me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Live Faithfully and Walk in Love!

Sassy Mindset💋…She Doesn’t Choose, She Becomes: Who She Is and What She Wants

“A girl should be two things: who and what she wants.”

~Coco Chanel

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever felt like you had to choose between being who you truly are and going after what you really want?

Coco Chanel’s quote reminds us that a girl isn’t meant to be defined by limitations or expectations, she is meant to boldly become both who she is and everything she desires to be.

The world often tries to separate those two things. It tells you to adjust who you are to fit expectations, or to shrink your desires to stay “acceptable.”

But here’s the truth: you were never meant to divide yourself.

You were created to embody both.

Who you are is your essence. Your identity. Your values. Your voice. It’s the part of you that doesn’t need approval to exist. And yet, this is often the very thing people compromise first.

But when you lose yourself trying to fit into spaces that were never designed for you, you end up chasing goals that don’t even align with your purpose. Staying rooted in who you are keeps you grounded. It reminds you that you are already enough before you achieve anything.

Now let’s talk about what you want, your desires, dreams, and goals. These aren’t random. They’re clues. They point toward purpose, passion, and possibility.

Wanting more doesn’t make you ungrateful.

Dreaming bigger doesn’t make you unrealistic.

Going after what sets your soul on fire doesn’t make you selfish.

It makes you aligned.

When who you are and what you want are in alignment, you move differently. You stop performing and start living. You stop chasing validation and start walking in purpose.

You don’t have to dim your light to be accepted.

You don’t have to abandon your desires to be “humble.”

You can be grounded and ambitious.

Authentic and evolving.

Soft and powerful.

You are not too much.

Your dreams are not too big.

And your identity is not up for negotiation.

Be the woman who knows exactly who she is and isn’t afraid to go after exactly what she wants.

Because the moment you stop choosing between the two…

You start fully becoming her.

Reflection Question:

What is one area in your life where you’ve been choosing between who you are and what you want and how can you begin to embrace both?

This week, make one bold move that honors both your identity and your desire. Whether it’s speaking up, starting something new, or letting go of what no longer aligns, choose you, fully.

Stay bold. Stay aligned. Stay sassy.

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷…Bigger on the Inside

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

~1 John 4:4 NKJV

Hello family! Have you ever walked into a situation and immediately felt outnumbered, underqualified, or just… not enough? Like the pressure was loud, the opposition was louder, and your confidence quietly slipped out the back door?

What if I told you the real power in the room isn’t what’s around you but what’s within you?

This scripture isn’t whispering. It’s declaring. You have already overcome. Not because you’ve got it all together, but because God Himself lives in you.

So why are we shrinking in rooms we were called to shift?

The world will try it…comparison, fear, doubt, insecurity, distraction, you name it. But none of that has more authority than the Spirit of God within you.

And that insecurity that keeps tapping you on the shoulder? It’s been defeated. It just doesn’t know it yet.

Reflection Question:

Where in your life have you been acting small when God has already declared you an overcomer?

Today, I want you to walk like you know who lives in you.

When doubt creeps in, check it.

When fear tries to speak, interrupt it.

When insecurity shows up, evict it.

Speak this over yourself:

“Greater is in me. I don’t shrink, I stand.”

Now go ahead and step into that room, that calling, that assignment…

with holy confidence and a little attitude.

Because what’s in you?

It’s bigger than anything you’re facing.

Live faithful,

Hello family! There are seasons in life when you’re moving forward, doing the work, showing up consistently, yet something inside you begins to ask a deeper question: Why did I start this in the first place?

Not because you’ve lost your passion. Not because you’re quitting. But because growth has a way of inviting reflection.

Recently, I found myself revisiting my “why.” The deeper reason behind my purpose, my writing, and the message I feel called to share. Somewhere between responsibilities, expectations, and the daily rhythm of life, it’s easy to focus on what you’re doing and forget the deeper why behind it.

Rediscovering your “why” isn’t about starting over. It’s about realignment.

Sometimes God allows moments of pause so we can reconnect with the heart of our calling. When I reflected on my purpose, I realized it was never about perfection, recognition, or trying to meet someone else’s expectations. My purpose has always been rooted in encouraging, empowering, and reminding others of their worth through faith and reflection.

At the core of my “why” is a desire to speak life into places where doubt tries to settle. To remind someone that rejection doesn’t define them. To encourage someone who feels unseen. To share reflections that point people back to truth, purpose, and God’s presence in their lives.

Rediscovering my “why” reminded me that purpose isn’t about constant motion, it’s about intentional direction.

Sometimes your “why” becomes clearer after you’ve experienced challenges, rejection, growth, or moments of uncertainty. Those experiences refine your perspective. They deepen your message. They strengthen the authenticity behind your voice.

What I’ve learned is that purpose evolves, but the heart behind it remains consistent.

When you reconnect with your “why,” the pressure to perform fades and the passion to serve returns. You stop measuring your impact by numbers or outcomes and start focusing on the difference your voice can make in someone’s life.

Your “why” grounds you when motivation fluctuates.

It reminds you why the work matters.

It reconnects you to the assignment God placed on your life.

For me, rediscovering my “why” was a gentle reminder that purpose is not about rushing to a destination. It’s about faithfully walking the path God designed, trusting that every step, reflection, lesson, and message serves a greater purpose.

And sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do on your journey is pause long enough to remember why you started.

Reflection Question:

When was the last time you paused long enough to reconnect with the deeper reason behind your purpose?

Stay bold. Stay aligned. Stay Sassy.

Sassy Mindset💋…Refusing to Believe the Lie That You’re Not Enough

“No woman should be made to fear that she was not enough.” — Samantha Shannon

Have you ever found yourself questioning your worth because of someone else’s expectations, opinions, or rejection?

Many women have experienced moments where they felt they had to prove their value. Society often places invisible standards on women: be strong but not too strong, confident but not intimidating, successful but still accommodating. When those expectations collide, it can leave a woman wondering if she measures up.

But the truth is simple and powerful: your worth is not something that needs to be earned or validated by others.

The fear of “not being enough” often grows from comparison, criticism, or rejection. Over time, those experiences can plant seeds of doubt. You may begin to question your voice, your abilities, or even your purpose.

Yet that fear was never meant to define you.

When you internalize the belief that you are not enough, you shrink your potential. You hesitate to pursue opportunities, speak boldly, or embrace the gifts you carry.

Empowerment begins when you challenge that narrative.

Being “enough” does not mean perfection. It means recognizing your value exactly as you are while continuing to grow. Your experiences, strengths, personality, and perspective all contribute to the unique impact you are meant to make.

When a woman understands her worth:

  • She stops seeking constant validation.
  • She sets healthy boundaries.
  • She walks confidently in her purpose.
  • She refuses to shrink to make others comfortable.

Confidence rooted in truth becomes unshakable.

This quote is also a call for women to uplift one another. Instead of comparison, we can choose encouragement. Instead of judgment, we can choose support.

Every woman deserves to feel seen, respected, and valued.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is remind another woman of what she may have forgotten: her strength, her voice, and her worth.

No rejection, criticism, or moment of doubt has the authority to determine your value.

You are not “almost enough.”

You are not “working toward enough.”

You are already enough.

And when you truly believe that, you stop living from a place of fear and start living from a place of purpose.

Reflection:

In what areas of your life do you need to stop seeking validation from others and start trusting your own value?

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷…Fearless Faith: Remembering God Is Already Ahead of You

“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” ~Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV

Hello family! There are moments in life when we step into unfamiliar territory. A new season. A new responsibility. While those moments can be exciting, they can also bring fear, uncertainty, and questions about whether we’re truly ready.

This is why Deuteronomy 31:8 is such a powerful reminder of God’s presence.

In this scripture, Moses encourages Joshua as he prepares to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. Joshua was stepping into a major leadership role after Moses, and the weight of that responsibility could have easily filled him with doubt. But Moses reminded him of something greater than his fears:

God was already ahead of him.

That same promise applies to us today.

When we face new challenges or transitions, we often focus on what we don’t know or what we feel unprepared for. But this scripture shifts our perspective. It reminds us that before we ever arrive at the next chapter of our lives, God has already gone before us.

He has already prepared the path.

He already knows what we will encounter.

And most importantly, He promises that we will not walk through it alone.

Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged.

Fear tends to grow when we rely only on our own strength. But faith grows when we remember that God is both our guide and our companion. He doesn’t just send us forward and hope for the best; He walks with us every step of the way.

Knowing this gives us the courage to move forward even when the path feels uncertain.

Sometimes God calls us into spaces that stretch us beyond our comfort zone. It may be a new calling, a new opportunity, or even a season of personal growth. In those moments, we are not stepping into those spaces alone.

God’s presence provides the reassurance we need to keep moving forward.

When we trust that He goes before us, we can walk confidently in the purpose He has placed on our lives.

Reflection:

Where in your life do you need to trust that God has already gone before you?

Take a moment to remember this promise: God is already ahead of you. He is preparing the way, strengthening your faith, and walking beside you through every step.

Because when God goes before you, there is nothing ahead that He hasn’t already accounted for.

And that is more than enough reason to move forward with faith.

Live Faithful,

Savvy Reflections🩷…Rejected, Yet Still Chosen

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever felt like rejection knocked the wind out of you, like it whispered, “You’re not enough” before you even had time to catch your breath?

Let’s be real. Rejection doesn’t just sting… it shakes you. It makes you question your worth, your gifts, your timing, and sometimes even God. You replay the moment in your mind. You wonder what you could’ve said differently, done differently, been differently.

And if you’re anything like I used to be, you may have internalized it.

I used to think rejection meant I wasn’t chosen because I wasn’t good enough. I wore it like a label. I let it crush my spirit. I thought that if a door closed, it must be because I lacked something.

But Sassy family, let me tell you what I’ve learned.

Rejection does not define your inadequacy.
It is an invitation to your alignment.

Sometimes God allows the “no” because the space you’re trying to enter is too small for who you’re becoming. Sometimes the table you’re begging to sit at cannot handle the oil on your life. And sometimes rejection is protection from environments that would have required you to shrink to survive.

There is nothing wrong with you because something didn’t work out.

Rejection has a way of stripping away the performance. It exposes where we’ve been seeking validation. It reveals where we’ve been bending, dimming, and over-explaining just to be accepted. And if we let it, it will lead us back to our true identity.

I had to learn that I am not called to fit in everywhere. I am called to stand firm in who God created me to be.

You are not “too much.”
You are not “too quiet.”
You are not “too bold.”
You are not “too different.”

You are becoming.

There is power in your softness. There is authority in your voice. There is wisdom in your lived experience. And the right spaces will not just tolerate you, they will celebrate you.

Rejection didn’t break me. It refined me. It realigned me. It taught me that my value does not fluctuate based on someone else’s ability to see it.

So if you’re in a season where doors are closing, don’t rush to label yourself as unworthy. Ask God what He’s realigning. Ask Him what version of you He’s developing in the process.

Because sometimes the “no” is clearing the path for a better “yes.”

And that, yes?
It won’t require you to audition for belonging.

Reflection Question:
Where in your life have you mistaken rejection for inadequacy, and how might God be using it to realign you with your true identity?

Stay bold. Stay aligned. Stay Sassy.

Love,

Savvy Reflections🩷…What Boundaries Taught Me About Loving Me

Hello Sassy family! For a long time, I struggled with setting boundaries. I was a people pleaser, the “yes” girl, the dependable one, the one who would bend, adjust, and shrink to keep the peace. I was so afraid of losing relationships that I compromised my own happiness and, at times, my self-respect. I confused being needed with being valued. I thought saying no meant rejection. I believed that love required self-sacrifice, even when it hurt.

Have you ever said yes when your heart was screaming no… just because you didn’t want to disappoint someone?

If that question makes you pause…this post is for you.

Boundaries: The Missing Piece of Self-Love

What I’ve learned is this: boundaries are not barriers to love they are the foundation of it.

Boundaries protect our energy, preserve our peace, and honor our values. They communicate what we need, what we accept, and what we will no longer tolerate.

The truth that changed everything for me was:

You cannot fully love yourself while constantly abandoning yourself.

Every time I ignored my limits to keep someone else comfortable, I sent myself the message that my needs didn’t matter. Now I know that self-love requires courage, honesty, and boundaries.

Why Boundaries Are an Act of Self-Respect

1. Boundaries Protect Your Peace

When you stop overextending yourself, you create room to breathe. Peace becomes possible.

2. Boundaries Build Healthy Relationships

The right people won’t leave because you expressed a need. In fact, healthy relationships thrive on clarity and respect.

3. Boundaries Strengthen Your Identity

When you stop shape-shifting to fit other people’s expectations, you rediscover who you truly are.

Setting boundaries didn’t make me lose myself. It helped me find myself.

Savvy Reads: Book Spotlight

One of the most impactful books on my boundary journey has been Set Boundaries, Find Peace: A Guide to Reclaiming Yourself.

This book felt like someone turning on the lights in a room I had been navigating in the dark.

Tawwab breaks down what boundaries actually are, why we struggle with them, and how to communicate them effectively. She addresses people-pleasing by directly explaining how fear of conflict, rejection, or being misunderstood often keeps us silent. That part hit home for me.

One of the most powerful messages in the book is that boundaries are not about controlling others; they are about controlling what you allow.

Reading this book helped me realize that protecting my well-being was an act of maturity. It was self-love in motion.
The relationships that are meant for you will survive your boundaries.

Sometimes we hold onto relationships that require us to shrink. But real love does not demand self-sacrifice.

Gentle Ways to Start Setting Boundaries

If this feels new or scary, start small:

  • Pause before automatically saying yes.
  • Replace over-explaining with simple clarity.
  • Give yourself permission to prioritize rest.
  • Stop apologizing for having needs.

Boundaries don’t have to be loud to be powerful. Sometimes they are soft sentences spoken with steady confidence.

Reflection:

Where in your life are you choosing comfort over self-respect?

Always remember that your peace is worth protecting.
Your needs are valid.
Your voice matters.

Setting boundaries isn’t about pushing people away, it’s about making sure you don’t lose yourself in the process.

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷…Restored and Rebuilt

“He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

~Psalms 23:3 NKJV

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever smiled in public… but felt completely drained on the inside?

You’re showing up. You’re working. You’re serving. You’re handling responsibilities. But internally? You feel tired in a way that sleep can’t fix. That kind of tired hits different. That’s soul-tired.

There was a season in my life when I didn’t even realize how depleted I had become. I was functioning but not flourishing. Praying but feeling distant. Smiling but struggling. I had poured out so much that I had nothing left to give, not even to myself.

And what made it harder? I felt like I should have been stronger.

But here’s what I’ve learned: needing restoration is not weakness, it’s being human.

Restoration Is Personal

The word “restore” means to bring back, to return, to refresh. It’s not a surface-level touch-up. It’s a deep, intentional renewal.

When God restored my soul, it wasn’t loud or dramatic. It was gentle. It was consistent. It was in quiet mornings, honest prayers, tear-filled worship, and moments where I finally admitted, “Lord, I can’t carry this alone.”

He didn’t shame me for being tired.
He didn’t rush me for healing.
He shepherded me through it.

God Knows When You’re Weary

Psalm 23 describes God as a Shepherd. And shepherds don’t just lead, they watch, they guard, they tend, and they restore.

Sometimes we think restoration means God immediately changing our circumstances. But often, He starts by changing our condition.

He restored my peace before He changed the pressure.
He restored my hope before He shifted the outcome.
He restored my identity before He adjusted the assignment.

And that restoration? It reminded me who I was and whose I was.

Restoration Leads to Righteousness

“He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

Restoration isn’t just about feeling better; it’s about walking better. When God restored my soul, my clarity returned. My discernment sharpened. My boundaries strengthened. I stopped striving and started surrendering.

Restored people don’t chase validation.
Restored people don’t operate from exhaustion.
Restored people walk in alignment.

And He does it for His name’s sake because a restored daughter reflects a faithful Shepherd.

If you’re in a season where your soul feels worn, fragile, or fatigued, hear me clearly:

You are not broken beyond repair.
You are not behind.
You are not weak for needing God to breathe life back into you.

He restores fully and faithfully.

Reflection

What area of your soul feels most depleted right now—and have you truly invited God to restore it?

Let’s stop pretending we’re fine when we’re weary. Let the Shepherd tend to you. Let Him refresh you. Let Him restore you.

Live faithfully,

Sassy Mindset💋… Brave Enough to Own Your Story

Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.” — Brené Brown

Hello Sassy family! There comes a moment in every woman’s life when she realizes she can no longer run from her own story.

Not the messy parts.

Not the broken chapters.

Not the decisions she wishes she could rewrite.

For so long, many of us have mastered the art of survival. We’ve learned how to smile through disappointment, carry silent battles, and present strength while privately wrestling with shame, regret, or insecurity. We tell ourselves, “That version of me doesn’t deserve compassion.”

But healing doesn’t begin when we pretend our story didn’t happen.

Healing begins when we finally say, “This is my story… and I am still worthy of love.”

Every chapter you’ve lived through carries evidence of God’s grace keeping you.

The heartbreak you thought would destroy you taught you discernment.

The rejection that wounded you redirected you.

The season where you lost yourself introduced you to the woman you’re becoming.

Nothing was wasted.

The enemy wants you to believe your story disqualifies you. God wants you to see your story qualifies you to carry wisdom, compassion, and authority that could only be born through experience.

You don’t honor God by pretending you’ve never been broken.

You honor Him by allowing Him to make you whole.

Loving yourself isn’t vanity. It’s bravery.

It’s choosing to stop punishing yourself for who you were when you didn’t know better.

It’s releasing the weight of unrealistic expectations and embracing the truth that you were always growing even in the moments you felt lost.

It’s looking in the mirror and seeing not just your flaws, but your resilience.

Self-love says:

I am not perfect, but I am chosen.

I am not finished, but I am being refined.

I am not ashamed, because God is still writing my story.

And that kind of love changes everything.

Many women live confined by versions of themselves that no longer exist.

But you are not who you were five years ago.

You are not who you were last year.

You are not even who you were yesterday.

You are evolving.

Owning your story means you stop apologizing for your growth. It means you stop shrinking to make others comfortable. It means you stop carrying shame that God already covered with grace.

A Loving Reminder for the Woman Becoming🩷

Sis, you don’t have to earn your worth.

You don’t have to hide your past.

You don’t have to pretend to be perfect to be powerful.

The bravest thing you will ever do is love yourself while you are still becoming.

Not when you “arrive.”

Not when everything is polished.

But right here. Right now.

Because the truth is…

She survived. She healed. She rose.

And that woman deserves to be love, especially by you.

Your story isn’t over.

It’s just getting good.

The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.

Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.”

~Song of Songs 2:13 (NIV)

Hello family! Have you ever felt stuck in a waiting season longing for healing, clarity, or the confidence to move forward? Many women faithfully show up for life while feeling something inside them is still dormant. Song of Songs 2:13 reminds us that God works in seasons, and He knows exactly when it’s time for you to rise.

This verse is a picture of awakening. Fruit is forming. Fragrance is filling the air. Growth is no longer hidden beneath the soil, it’s visible.

Before God says “Arise,” He points to the evidence of readiness. The fig tree doesn’t rush its fruit, and the vine doesn’t force its bloom. Everything happens in its appointed time. In the same way, the season you thought was stagnant may have been sacred preparation.

God doesn’t call us forward with pressure or shame. He calls us with love. He sees the beauty in us even when we’ve been doubting ourselves. He invites us not just to move, but to move with Him.

Growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like quiet faithfulness, unseen healing, and courage slowly returning. And when the time is right, God gently says, “It’s time. Come with Me.”

You may be entering a season where God is asking you to stop hiding in survival mode and start walking in purpose. The fruit forming in your life; your wisdom, resilience, compassion, and faith didn’t appear overnight. It was cultivated through prayer, patience, and perseverance.

If God is calling you to arise, it doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out. It simply means He’s ready to lead you into what He’s already been preparing.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being a God of perfect timing. Help me trust the seasons You allow in my life. Give me the courage to arise when You call and the faith to walk with You into what’s next. Remind me that I am loved, chosen, and beautifully created for purpose. Amen.

Reflection:

  • What fruit has been quietly forming in my life?
  • Where might God be inviting me to arise instead of retreat?

Sometimes the most powerful step forward begins with simply saying, “Yes, Lord. I’ll come with You.”

Live faithfully,

Love Letter to the Woman I am Becoming…

Hello and Happy Galentine’s Day, Sassy Family! 💕

In the spirit of celebrating love, I felt called to write a love letter to the woman I am becoming, inspired by a letter I once wrote to my younger self in a previous blog post.

I hope that this message encourages anyone who may need a reminder that they are loved, or who needs permission to celebrate where they are on their self-love journey. Whether you are just beginning, healing quietly, or boldly stepping into your growth, I hope these words remind you that becoming is something worth honoring.

Dear Ronni Lauren,

This is a love letter to you, the woman I am becoming, the woman who is unfolding with grace, strength, and quiet confidence.

I see the way you are no longer rushing your growth. The way you are allowing life to shape you instead of breaking you. The way you pause now, where you once panicked. The way you reflect, where you once reacted. That is growth. That is evolution. That is love.

There was a time when you searched for validation outside of yourself. You questioned your worth. You bent to keep others comfortable. But now? You stand. You choose. You discern. You no longer chase what doesn’t choose you. You no longer beg for what you can give yourself.

You are becoming a woman who understands that love begins within. A woman who knows that softness is strength. A woman who can nurture others without neglecting herself.

I love how you are no longer apologizing for your depth. I love how you embrace your tenderness without seeing it as weakness. I love how you are becoming rooted in faith and self-awareness.

You are no longer settling for less than you deserve. You are no longer shrinking to fit into spaces you’ve outgrown. You are no longer afraid to outgrow people, patterns, or places that cannot meet you where you are headed.

The woman you are becoming is intentional. She moves with clarity. She speaks with purpose. She loves with wisdom. She chooses peace over chaos. She chooses herself without guilt.

Keep becoming. Keep healing. Keep glowing. The love you give yourself today is building the life you once prayed for. The standards you set now are protecting the future you desire.

I am proud of you not just for where you are going, but for who you are right now in this very moment.

With admiration and unwavering love,
The Woman Within♥️

Choosing an Intentional Life: From Surviving to Becoming

Have you ever realized you’re not really living, you’re just getting through the day?

Checking boxes. Carrying weight. Holding it together. Surviving.

That realization is why I’m choosing to live intentionally.

I’m tired of living in survival mode. I don’t want to just make it through life anymore. I want to live a life that is aligned with who God created me to be and what His intentions are for my life.

Survival mode keeps you functioning, but it doesn’t make you whole. It teaches you how to cope, not how to thrive.

I’m choosing to stop reacting to life and start responding with purpose. I’m choosing alignment over exhaustion, clarity over chaos, and obedience over comfort.

Living intentionally means allowing God to shape every area of my life not just spiritually, but mentally, physically, and emotionally.

When my life is aligned with God’s design, everything else begins to fall into place.

Intentional living means I no longer move out of habit or fear, but from conviction and faith. It means I ask myself daily: Does this reflect who God created me to be?

Because when alignment is off, peace is off. But when alignment is restored, healing begins.

An intentional life isn’t rushed. It isn’t driven by comparison or external expectations. It’s rooted in purpose.

This season is teaching me that I don’t have to do everything, I just need to do what God is asking of me. Intentionality allows me to slow down, listen, and move with wisdom instead of pressure.

I’m learning that purpose doesn’t always require big leaps sometimes it’s found in small, obedient steps taken consistently.

I want intention to be reflected in:

  • My thoughts- choosing truth over fear and faith over doubt
  • My words -speaking life, alignment, and clarity
  • My actions -living in a way that matches what I say I believe

When these areas are aligned, life feels less scattered and more whole.

I’m no longer content with just getting by. I’m choosing to live awake, aligned, and anchored in God’s purpose.

An intentional life says: I trust God enough to live on purpose.

It says: I believe there is more than survival.

It says: Wholeness is possible.

I’m choosing intention not perfection, not pressure, but purpose.

Are you surviving… or are you ready to live intentionally too?

Live Fearlessly and On Purpose,

💛Ronni Lauren

Budgeting With Intention: How to Grocery Shop With Confidence and Peace

Hello Sassy family! Today, I hit a personal milestone in the grocery store, and I don’t say it lightly. I walked in with a list, stuck to my budget, and resisted temptation, walking out with only what I had planned to buy. No extra snacks. No “just one more thing.” And yes… it was hard.

If you know me, you know I’m a foodie. I love flavors, new ingredients, and trying whatever catches my eye. Grocery shopping has always been an impulse-driven experience for me; if it looks good, smells good, or sparks inspiration, it usually ends up in my cart.

But today, I chose intention over impulse. And while it may seem small, it felt like a win worth celebrating.

That moment reminded me how powerful mindful grocery shopping can be, and how many of us struggle in this exact area. That’s why I had to share this post with you. If I can pause, refocus, and stay aligned with my budget, I know you can too.

This post is for anyone who wants to budget with intention while grocery shopping, without guilt, restriction, or perfection, just progress.

Walk In With Intention

Before you ever grab a cart, remind yourself: I am in control of my choices.
Having a plan for your meals, a list, and a spending limit sets the tone for success. A plan doesn’t limit you; it empowers you.

Confidence starts before you enter the store.

Your List Is Your Direction

A grocery list isn’t about saying “no” to yourself; it’s about saying “yes” to your goals. It keeps you focused, grounded, and aligned with what truly matters.

Discipline today creates freedom tomorrow.

Honor What You Already Have

Pause before you shop and check your kitchen. Your pantry, fridge, and freezer often hold more than you realize. Gratitude shifts your mindset from lack to abundance, and abundance changes how you spend.

Sometimes the biggest savings come from using what’s already there.

Choose With Wisdom, Not Emotion

Shopping while tired, stressed, or hungry makes it easy to overspend. Slow down. Breathe. Choose intentionally.

Not every sale is meant for you. Not every craving deserves a purchase. Staying aligned with your goals is the real win.

Prep Is an Act of Self-Care

Meal prepping and choosing whole foods isn’t just about saving money; it’s about honoring your body and your future. When you prepare with intention, you show up for yourself in powerful ways.

This is what self-care looks like in real life.

Progress Matters More Than Perfection

Tracking your grocery spending isn’t about judgment; it’s about growth. Awareness brings clarity, and clarity leads to better decisions. You don’t have to get it right every time. You just have to keep going.

Small changes add up faster than you think.

Every intentional grocery trip is a step toward peace, stability, and freedom. Each choice you make, no matter how small, is helping you build a future rooted in confidence and care.

You are capable. You are disciplined. And you are allowed to take up space in your financial journey.

Keep choosing intention.

Live Intentionally,

Embracing the New Year: Lessons from 2025 & Choosing Priorities Over Resolutions🎉

Happy New Year family! As the calendar turns and the noise of “new year, new you” gets louder, I find myself asking a different question: What if this year isn’t about becoming someone new, but about becoming more intentional? Instead of rushing to set resolutions, I’ve been reflecting on the year I’m leaving behind, the lessons that shaped me, the moments that stretched me, and the growth that didn’t always look the way I expected.

2025 reminded me that growth is rarely loud. Sometimes it happens quietly through patience learned the hard way, boundaries set with courage, and faith strengthened in seasons of uncertainty. I learned that not every loss is a failure and not every delay is denial. Some things had to fall apart so better things could take shape. And some lessons only came when I stopped fighting and started trusting.

This past year also taught me the importance of grace for myself when I didn’t get it right, and grace for others when expectations weren’t met. I learned that rest is not a reward but a requirement, and that saying “no” can be just as powerful as saying “yes.” Most importantly, 2025 showed me that God’s timing is still perfect, even when it doesn’t align with my own.

As I step into the new year, I’m choosing priorities over resolutions. Resolutions often feel rigid and rooted in pressure to do more, be more, and fix everything. Priorities, feel intentional and life-giving. They allow room for growth without guilt and progress without perfection.

My priorities for the year ahead are simple but meaningful: to protect my peace, nurture my faith, and remain present in the moments that matter most. I want to prioritize alignment over approval, obedience over obligation, and consistency over comparison. Instead of striving to become a completely new version of myself, I’m committed to becoming a more grounded, faithful, and intentional one.

This new year isn’t about proving anything, it’s about becoming. Becoming wiser, softer, stronger, and more anchored in purpose. I’m walking forward carrying the lessons of 2025, not as baggage, but as wisdom.

So here’s to the year ahead: may we move forward with clarity, courage, and compassion. May we release what no longer serves us and embrace what calls us higher. And may we choose priorities that align with who we are becoming, not just who the world tells us to be.

Cheers to a new year and to walking into it with intention.

Live Fearless and With Intention!

The True Meaning of Christmas: Celebrating Love, Peace, and Joy🎄

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Merry Christmas family! As we pause in this special season, I just want to say thank you for being here…reading, reflecting, and growing together. Christmas is more than a day on the calendar; it’s a reminder of hope, grace, and the love that brings us all together.

The true meaning of Christmas is found in love, peace, and joy. It’s about a love so deep that it came wrapped in humility, born in a manger. It’s about peace that calms our hearts in the middle of life’s chaos. And it’s about a lasting joy that comes from knowing we are seen, known, and deeply loved.

Luke 2:11 reminds us of this beautiful truth: “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” This moment changed everything. Jesus came not only to save, but to show us how to love freely, selflessly, and wholeheartedly.

As you celebrate today, whether surrounded by family and friends or enjoying quiet moments of reflection, my prayer is that your heart is filled with His love, your mind is guarded by His peace, and your spirit overflows with His joy.

From my heart to yours, Merry Christmas. May the light of Christ shine brightly in your life today and always.

Love,

Sassy Mindset💋…Life Expands When You Do

Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.”

~Anaïs Nin

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever felt that quiet tug in your heart to do more, be more, or try again, but fear keeps whispering, what if you fail? Maybe you’ve found yourself playing it safe, staying comfortable, or putting your dreams on pause because stepping out feels too risky. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and this quote might be the gentle nudge your heart needs today.

Anaïs Nin reminds us that courage isn’t about being fearless, it’s about choosing movement even when fear is present. Every brave decision, no matter how small, creates more room in your life. More room for growth. More room for joy. More room for becoming who you were always meant to be.

Courage looks different for each of us. Sometimes it’s saying no when you’ve always said yes. Sometimes it’s walking away from what’s familiar to make space for what’s healthier. Other times, it’s believing again after disappointment, opening your heart after hurt, or trusting God even when the path ahead isn’t clear.

When we shrink back, life begins to feel limited. We settle. We dim our light. We convince ourselves that comfort is safer than calling. But when we choose courage when we dare to hope, to heal, to try again: life responds by expanding. Opportunities appear. Confidence grows. Purpose becomes clearer.

Here’s the beautiful truth: courage doesn’t require perfection. It only asks for willingness. Willingness to take the next step. Willingness to trust that you are stronger than your fear. Willingness to believe that there is more for you on the other side of obedience and bold faith.

So today, ask yourself: Where have I been shrinking when I was meant to expand? What would change if you chose courage in that space?

Let this be your reminder: your life is not meant to be lived small. You were created for fullness, depth, and purpose. And with every courageous choice you make, life grows right alongside you.

Let’s grow together, one courageous step at a time.

Soul Food 🙏🏾🪴🩷…Trust and Do Good: Living Rooted in God’s Faithfulness

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.”

~Psalm 37:3 NKJV

Hello family! Have you ever found yourself doing all the “right” things, yet still wondering if God sees you? You’re trusting, praying, waiting and if you’re honest, sometimes it feels like nothing is moving. Psalm 37:3 meets us right there, in that space between faith and frustration, and gently reminds us how we’re called to live while we wait.

Trust isn’t passive. It’s not pretending everything is fine or ignoring the questions in your heart. Trust is choosing God even when the outcome is unclear. It’s placing your hope in His character, not in circumstances lining up the way you planned. Trust says, “God, I don’t understand this season, but I still believe You are good.”

While we’re waiting on God to move, He calls us to keep living with purpose. Keep loving. Keep showing up. Keep being kind when it would be easier to withdraw. Doing good in the waiting keeps our hearts soft and aligned with Him.

Don’t rush past the season you’re in. God is present here, not just in the future you’re hoping for. Dwelling means staying rooted instead of restless, choosing peace over panic, and believing that God can meet you exactly where you are.

God invites us to nourish our souls with reminders of who He’s been. Remember the prayers He’s already answered. The doors He’s opened. The strength He gave you when you thought you wouldn’t make it. When we feed on His faithfulness, fear loses its grip and gratitude takes its place.

Reflection:

Where is God asking you to trust Him more deeply and how can you continue to do good right where you are?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to trust You fully, even when the path ahead feels uncertain. Teach me to do good with a willing heart and to remain rooted in this season. Remind me daily of Your faithfulness, and let it strengthen my faith. Amen.

Family, waiting doesn’t mean wasting. God is working even when you can’t see it. Stay rooted. Stay faithful. Keep trusting. And let His faithfulness be the thing that sustains you.

Go into today choosing trust over fear, goodness over doubt, and faith over frustration!

Live Faithfully,

Bring back our captivity, O Lord, As the streams in the South.

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.”

‭‭~Psalms‬ ‭126‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hello family! Have you ever found yourself doing all the right things: praying, believing, showing up, yet wondering if any of it is actually making a difference? Maybe you’re sowing seeds with tired hands and a heavy heart, hoping something will eventually change.

Psalm 126:4–6 is a powerful reminder that God is at work even in seasons that feel dry, delayed, or discouraging. These verses speak directly to those who are sowing in faith while still waiting to see the fruit of their obedience.

God does not waste our tears. He uses them to bring restoration, renewal, and an abundant harvest in His perfect timing.

Keep planting seeds of faith, prayer, obedience, and trust, even when results aren’t immediate. It reassures us that perseverance will be rewarded and that seasons of sorrow can give way to songs of joy.

God is faithful to restore what feels lost and to turn mourning into rejoicing for those who continue to trust Him.

Reflection:

What seeds are you currently sowing in faith, even though the harvest hasn’t appeared yet? How can you continue trusting God with the outcome?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You see every tear, every prayer, and every seed sown in faith. When the waiting feels long and the ground feels dry, help me not to lose heart. Strengthen my trust in Your timing and remind me that You are always working, even when I can’t see it. I place my hope in You, believing that joy will come and that You will bring a harvest from what I’ve faithfully planted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t give up in the waiting. What you sow in faith today will one day be reaped in joy.

Soul Food 🙏🏾🪴🩷…Grace That Rewrites Your Story

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

‭‭~I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hello family! Let me ask you this, have you ever looked at your life and wondered, “Why would God choose someone like me?” If so, you’re not alone. The scripture I’m sharing with you today speaks directly to that feeling.

1 Corinthians 15:9-10 is a powerful reminder that God’s grace doesn’t just cover us, it transforms us.

In verse 9, Paul shows that he understood what like to have a past that didn’t align with his present assignment. He once persecuted the very church he later helped build. Maybe you’re carrying something today…regret, shame, insecurity, or a feeling that God couldn’t possibly use someone like you.

Also, please remember that Grace is not about who you were. It’s about who God is.

In verse 10, Paul is showing us that grace doesn’t excuse us from purpose, it empowers us for it. When God places His grace on your life, it shifts the trajectory of your story. It turns weakness into strength, doubt into confidence, and past mistakes into powerful testimony.

God doesn’t just call the qualified, he qualifies the called.

If you’ve been questioning your worth, your calling, or your place in God’s plan, let this verse settle in your heart today:

You are not who your past says you are.

You are who God’s grace is shaping you to be.

And His grace always comes with purpose.

Reflection Question:

Where in your life have you been disqualifying yourself when God has already extended grace?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your grace that finds me, changes me, and carries me. Help me to stop viewing myself through the lens of my past and to embrace who You are calling me to be. Strengthen me to walk boldly in my purpose, knowing that Your grace is working in and through me. Amen.

This week, whenever doubt creeps in, speak this truth over yourself:

“By the grace of God, I am who He says I am.”

Write it down, whisper it in prayer, or declare it until your heart believes it.

Live Faithfully and Aligned with Purpose,

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🧡…A Heart of Thanksgiving

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”

~Psalm 136:1

Happy Thanksgiving, family! I hope you all are enjoying the holiday and finding moments to slow down, breathe, and reflect. While reflecting, it was laid on my heart to share with you what this holiday means to me. Thanksgiving isn’t just a holiday, it’s a heart posture.

It’s a slowing down long enough to notice God’s goodness in each day, even the ones that felt heavy.

Psalm 136:1 reminds us to recall His faithfulness, the doors He opened, the peace He whispered, and the strength He poured into us when we felt empty. His love doesn’t waver with circumstances or emotions. It remains strong, steady, and sure. Giving thanks doesn’t mean we ignore our struggles, it means we recognize God’s presence within them. Gratitude shifts our focus from what is missing to what God has already done, and continues to do.

So today, let this verse become your anchor. Wherever you are, whatever the day holds, choose to give thanks. Not because everything is perfect, but because God is always good.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your unending love and goodness over my life. Help me pause long enough to see Your fingerprints in every season; the joyful, the challenging, and the quiet in-between moments. Teach my heart to live with open hands and a grateful spirit. Let thanksgiving not be just a word I speak, but a rhythm I live. You are good, and Your love truly endures forever. Amen.

Reflection:

What is one specific thing, big or small, that you can intentionally thank God for today, even if it doesn’t feel easy?

Take a moment to write it down. Speak it. Pray it. Let it settle into your heart.

Choose one way to express gratitude today. Let gratitude move beyond thought, into action.

Because His love endures forever and so can your praise.

Live Faithfully and Give Thanks!

Sassy Mindset💋…The Power of “Now”

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever caught yourself daydreaming about the life you want; more peace, more confidence, more joy, but feeling unsure of how to actually get there? Maybe you’ve been waiting for the perfect timing, the right opportunity, or the moment when everything finally “falls into place.” If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. So many of us stand on the edge of our potential, not realizing that the doorway to our future is found in the choices we make today.

Emily Dickinson’s quote, “The future is composed of the nows,” is a great reminder that our future isn’t something far away; it’s being shaped in every moment we choose courage, grace, and intention.

Instead of waiting for the “perfect time,” the right opportunity, or someone’s approval, Dickinson reminds us that the life we desire begins with what we do today. Every small decision: setting a boundary, speaking up, prioritizing self-care, pursuing a dream creates ripples that build the future we’re hoping for.

Let this truth empower you to step into your worth right now. Not when things feel easier. Not when life slows down. Not when we “feel ready.”

But now.

When we honor the present, we honor ourselves. And when women honor themselves, the future becomes brighter, stronger, and more aligned with who we were always meant to be.

Take a moment today to choose one meaningful action; no matter how small that reflects the future you want. Write it down, speak it out loud, Your “now” matters more than you know.

Daily Affirmation💋

“I honor my present, I shape my future, and every step I take today moves me closer to the woman I’m becoming.”

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴💗…Covered in Calm: Embracing God’s Peace in Every Season

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. ~Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

Hello family! Have you ever caught yourself lying awake at night, replaying the same worries over and over, wondering if this will finally be the thing that breaks you? We’ve all been there. So here’s the question: What do you tend to do first when anxiety shows up: panic, shut down, or try to fix everything yourself?

Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us that there is a better way to face anxiety whenever it tries to rise in our lives.

Instead of carrying the weight alone, we must bring every burden, big or small, before God through prayer and honest conversation. When we choose prayer over panic, surrender over spiraling, something powerful happens: God exchanges our anxiety for His peace. Not a temporary calm or a quick emotional fix, but a deep, guarding peace that covers our hearts and minds like a shield.

This passage is a gentle reminder that peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances; it’s found in God’s presence. When we release what we can’t control, we make room for the peace that surpasses all understanding to settle in.

Reflection:

What worry can you hand over to God today?

Affirmation:

I choose prayer over panic, and God’s peace covers me completely.

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer.

From the end of the earth I will cry to You,

When my heart is overwhelmed;

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For You have been a shelter for me,

A strong tower from the enemy.”

~Psalm 61:1–3 (NKJV)

Hello family! Let’s be honest there are days when life just feels heavy. You’re doing your best to keep it together, but inside, your heart feels overwhelmed. Maybe it’s the endless to-do list, the heartbreak you didn’t see coming, or the quiet moments where you wonder if anyone really understands.

If that’s you today, take a deep breath because Psalm 61 is your reminder that you don’t have to be strong on your own.

David didn’t hide his struggle. He cried out to God and said, “When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” I love that. He wasn’t asking for all the answers; he was asking to be lifted higher above the noise, above the fear, above the weight of it all.

You don’t have to fix every problem or hold everything together. God is your Rock, your Shelter, your Safe Place. He’s not asking you to do more; He’s inviting you to rest in Him.

So today, instead of trying to carry it all, take your weary heart and lean into His strength. Let Him lift you higher.

Reflection:

When your heart feels overwhelmed, where do you turn first and how can you remind yourself to turn to God as your Rock and Shelter this week?

Prayer:

When my heart feels heavy and my strength fades, lead me to You; the Rock that is higher than I. Thank You for being my refuge, my shelter, and my safe place. Help me release what I cannot control and rest in Your presence. Remind me that I am never alone, even in my most overwhelmed moments. Strengthen my faith and steady my heart in You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Savvy Reflections🩷…How Has Your View of Love Changed Over the Years?

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever caught yourself thinking about how your view of love has changed over the years? This question came to me recently as I was reflecting on my own journey, learning self-love, setting boundaries, and becoming the best version of me. Somewhere along the way, I realized that the way I understand and express love has evolved just as much as I have.

When I look back at how I viewed love in my younger days, I can only laugh and maybe cry a little. I really thought love meant proving my worth instead of knowing it. I believed love meant being chosen, that someone else’s attention or affection somehow validated my worth.

Now, I see how deeply my younger self tied love to validation instead of value. She didn’t yet know that love begins within, that you teach others how to love you by how you love yourself.

With growth and healing, my perspective has softened and matured. Love today feels deeper, wiser, more intentional. It’s not about perfection or constant validation ; it’s about peace, honesty, and presence. It’s showing up for each other, communicating through the tough moments, and choosing love every single day.

Love now looks like partnership, not possession. It’s not about being rescued; it’s about being respected. It’s a safe place to grow, not a battlefield to prove your worth.

The more I’ve learned to truly love myself, the more I’ve understood what real love should feel like. It’s not about losing yourself to be loved; it’s about loving yourself enough to never shrink again.

So tell me, Sassy family, how has your view of love changed as you’ve grown, healed, and learned more about yourself?

Drop your thoughts in the comments. I’d love to hear how your heart has evolved too.

Affirmation:
“I am no longer waiting to be chosen. I choose myself fully, freely, and with love.”

Sassy Mindset💋…. Rising Above What You Can’t Control

Hello Sassy family! Let’s be real, life doesn’t always go the way we planned. Sometimes you think you’ve got everything under control, and then something unexpected knocks the wind out of you. Maybe it’s a job loss, a painful realization, or a situation that left you asking, “Why me?”

We’ve all had those moments that make us feel small, powerless, or completely thrown off balance. But here’s the beautiful truth: even when we can’t control what happens to us, we can control how we show up in the middle of it.

That’s exactly what Maya Angelou reminds us of in one of her most powerful quotes:

“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” – Maya Angelou

Those words hit differently when life gets messy.

Because the truth is, there’s so much we can’t control. People will disappoint us, plans will fall apart, and life will throw curveballs we never saw coming. But every challenge gives us a choice: to let it break us down or build us up.

You have the power to decide whether your hardships will define or refine you.

When you choose not to be reduced by what you’ve been through, you’re reclaiming your peace. You’re saying, “Yes, this hurt. Yes, it was hard. But it’s not going to shrink me.”

Choosing not to be reduced doesn’t mean pretending everything’s fine. It means giving yourself permission to feel it, process it, and still move forward with your head held high. It’s standing in your truth and refusing to let pain harden your heart. It’s believing that you can still shine, even when life tries to dim your light.

Remember this: the same fire that burns can also build character.

So if life has thrown you into the fire lately, don’t lose heart. You’re being shaped, strengthened, and prepared for something greater. You may not control the storm, but you can decide to rise from it stronger, wiser, and more grounded in who you are.

Don’t let life’s events reduce you. Let them reveal the resilient, unstoppable woman you were created to be.

Empowering Reflection:

What situation once tried to reduce you, but instead revealed your strength?

Live Fearless and Be Unstoppable!

“Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” — Daniel 12:3 (NKJV)

Hello family! In a world that often celebrates temporary fame and fleeting success, Daniel 12:3 reminds us of a different kind of shine that never fades. God calls us to live with wisdom and purpose, to reflect His light in everything we do.

When our hearts are aligned with His, our lives become beacons of hope that guide others toward righteousness. This isn’t just about shining for a moment, it’s about leaving an eternal glow that points back to Him.

A life lived for God never goes unnoticed. True wisdom isn’t about knowing it all, it’s about walking closely with God and reflecting His light in a dark world. When we choose to live with integrity, faith, and love, our influence becomes eternal.

Every encouraging word, every act of kindness, every moment spent guiding someone closer to God makes us shine brighter in His eyes. Just like stars that never lose their light, your faith-filled impact will continue to glow long after your time here on earth.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to live a life that shines with Your wisdom and love. Use my words and actions to lead others toward You, and let my light reflect Your glory forever. Amen.

Reflection Question:

How can you shine God’s light today in a way that points someone else toward Him?

Live faithfully! Let your light shine!

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷: God’s Unstoppable Purposes

Hello family! Have you ever found yourself asking, “What is my true purpose in life?” Maybe you’ve wondered if you’re walking in the right direction, or if the plans you’ve made for your life really line up with God’s. That longing for clarity can feel overwhelming, but Job 42:2 reminds us of a powerful truth: “I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.”

Job’s declaration is both a confession of faith and a testimony of surrender. After walking through unimaginable suffering, Job finally acknowledges the sovereignty of God. For women today, this verse is a beautiful reminder that no matter what season of life we are in, whether joy-filled or heart-wrenching, God’s plans remain unshaken. His purposes cannot be stopped by circumstances, setbacks, or even our own missteps.

When we feel uncertain about our purpose, Job’s words invite us to rest in God’s perfect authority. Instead of striving to figure it all out on our own, we can trust that the One who created us is guiding our steps and weaving every detail into His greater story.

Reflection:

  • Are you searching for purpose in your own strength rather than seeking God’s guidance?
  • Do you trust that His plans for your life are unfolding, even when you can’t see them clearly?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that nothing is impossible for You. Help me to rest in Your sovereignty and trust that Your purposes for my life are good and cannot be stopped. Strengthen my faith so that I may walk with confidence in Your plan. Amen.

Live Faithfully!

Soul Food 🙏🏾🪴💗…Built For More: Standing on Purpose

So I sent messengers to them saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?”

Nehemiah 6:3 NKJV

Hello family! Have you ever been so focused on something or finishing a project that you didn’t want to stop until it was done? You ignored the calls, the distractions, and maybe even the urge to quit, because deep down you knew it mattered. That’s exactly the kind of determination Nehemiah had in Nehemiah 6:3, where he says, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.”

This powerful verse was shared with me last week, and now I feel led to share it with you. I pray it encourages anyone who is doing a great work but finds themselves facing distractions meant to break your focus and keep you from finishing.

It is more than a statement, it’s a mindset. Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem, and when distractions came, he refused to be pulled away from his assignment. His response wasn’t rooted in arrogance—it was grounded in purpose.

This verse speaks directly to your journey. Whether you’re building a business, launching a vision, healing your heart, or stepping into new territory… you are doing a great work. And like Nehemiah, you don’t have time to come down.

Let this encourage you to stay focused, guard your purpose. Don’t let anything pull you away from it. Your calling is too important. Your growth is too sacred. You don’t need to prove yourself…just keep building. Stay focused, stay faithful—what you’re building matters, and it’s worth finishing.

You are doing a great work. And you cannot come down.

Live faithfully!

More Than a Fairy Tale: Trusting God’s Promise for Love

Hello family! Have you ever felt like God placed a specific love story in your heart? A story so beautiful that it feels like something out of a fairy tale?

Lately, God has been gently reminding me of the promise He planted within me. He’s showing me that the love story He has for me will unfold like a fairy tale written by His hand, full of wonder, growth, and a love that’s worth the wait.

As a little girl, I would spend hours playing with dolls, creating my own worlds and storylines. I didn’t know it then, but even as a child, I was shaping what I believed a healthy relationship and family could look like. Through those playtime moments, I wasn’t just passing the time I was building the blueprint for the love I aspired to experience and the life I dreamed of living. I now realize that what I created was a reflection of what my heart deeply desired for myself.

Even now, God is showing me that the love story He’s placed in my heart is not just a childish dream. It’s a promise.

Fairy tales aren’t just about magical moments and happy endings. They’re about the journey, the challenges, the waiting, and the discovery. In every fairy tale, the main character often faces detours, obstacles, and moments of doubt. Sometimes, they feel overlooked, forgotten, or stuck in an in-between season, unsure if their story will ever unfold the way they hoped.

But what makes a fairy tale beautiful is that the Author always knows the ending.

God is reminding me to wait with the same kind of hope.

To wait with trust.

To wait with patience.

To believe that even in the waiting, my story is being written, and every chapter has purpose.

Sometimes waiting feels like standing on the sidelines, watching everyone else’s story unfold while wondering if mine was ever real. But God is teaching me that I don’t have to write the story myself. I don’t have to chase it, force it, or settle for something less. I just have to trust the One who is writing it.

The love story God placed in my heart will be one of adventure, authenticity, and deep connection…Like the best fairy tales, where love finds you in the most unexpected way, where the journey matters just as much as the ending, and where the story is even more beautiful than you imagined.

If God has placed a love story in your heart, trust that He’s not teasing you. He’s teaching you. Every season of waiting, every detour, and every quiet moment is part of a divine script only He could write. Don’t rush the Author.

The story He’s writing for you will be more beautiful, more meaningful, and more full of purpose than anything you could have imagined. Keep believing. Your fairy tale is unfolding…one faithful page at a time.

Live faithfully!

Love Always,

Sassy Mindset💋…Living for Breathtaking Moments

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever found yourself simply going through the motions, checking boxes, and wondering if you’re truly living or just existing? I struggle with this all of the time.

Maya Angelou’s quote is a reminder that challenges us to shift our focus from merely surviving to fully embracing the experiences that ignite our souls.

We often carry many roles—caregiver, leader, friend, partner, dreamer. In the midst of our responsibilities, it’s easy to get lost in routines and miss the extraordinary moments life offers. But Maya’s words call us higher. They invite us to seek out joy, wonder, purpose, and moments that make our hearts race—not just tasks that fill our calendars.

How Do We Create Breathtaking Moments?

Be Present: Life’s magic often happens in the little things—a makeover, witnessing a sunrise, a simple victory after hard work. Slow down and notice them.

Take Bold Steps: The moments that take our breath away often require courage. Say yes to the adventure, speak up for yourself, pursue the passion that scares you.

Celebrate Yourself: You are worthy of joy, love, and awe-filled experiences. Don’t postpone your happiness waiting for a perfect time.

Maya Angelou’s wisdom pushes us to stop counting the days and start making the days count. You don’t need grand, cinematic moments to live fully—you need authentic, intentional ones that remind you you’re alive.

So, what’s one thing you can do today that will take your breath away?

Start there. Live there. Your life is waiting.

Live on purpose!

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

-Proverbs 16:9 NIV

Hello, family! Have you ever made detailed plans for your life—mapped out steps and envisioned outcomes—only to find that God took you in a completely different direction? Perhaps you thought you knew the path, only to discover you were walking one you never expected. If this has happened to you, you’re not alone. Proverbs 16:9 gently reminds us of a deeper truth: while we plan our path, God ultimately establishes our steps.

I want to encourage both you and me that, even though we may not see His plans for our lives at this moment, He will reveal them to us in stages throughout our journey. Speaking from experience, facing the unknown and surrendering control is not easy. At times, your faith may feel like it is running on empty, but we must believe in the goodness and consistency of God’s character. Everything happens so we can evolve and grow for our good.

The truth is, our perspective is limited. We plan based on what we see, but God guides us based on what He knows. Surrendering to His direction does not mean we stop planning; rather, it means we hold our plans loosely and trust His wisdom above our own. It’s like drawing a map and then handing the compass to Someone who knows the terrain far better than we do.

Have you ever seen your plans completely fall apart, only to later realize that God was protecting you or redirecting you to something better? Proverbs 16:9 is often understood only in hindsight. The first part of the verse—“In their hearts humans plan their course”—acknowledges that planning is a natural and good part of our lives. We’re meant to be intentional with our time, relationships, and work. However, if we plan without God, we risk moving in a direction that leads us away from His best.

Inviting God into the planning process means praying before acting, listening before deciding, and trusting even when things don’t go the way we hoped. Every step we take, even the ones that feel like detours, is guided by a God who sees the full picture.

Reflection Questions:

  • Have you experienced a time when your plans were redirected by God?
  • How do you typically respond when things don’t go according to your plan?
  • What’s one way you can invite God into your planning this week?

A Prayer:

Lord, I bring my plans before You today. I lay down my desire for control and invite You to direct my steps. Help me to trust that Your way is always better, even when it looks different from mine. Thank You for being the One who guides my path. Amen.

Be Encouraged and Live Faithfully!

Sassy Mindset💋…You Are More Powerful Than You Think

Hello my Sassy family! Have you ever felt powerless?

I have—more times than I’d like to admit. There have been seasons in my life where I underestimated my power, not because I didn’t have any, but because I got lost in how others see me or comparing myself to others. I allowed people’s perceptions of me to define my worth, placing myself in a box I didn’t belong in. I dimmed my light, silenced my voice, and questioned my own value—all because I forgot that I had power to begin with.

This quote is a reminder that personal power begins in the mind. Too often, people accept limitations that were never truly theirs—whether imposed by fear, society, past mistakes, or self-doubt.

We must reflect on the silent ways we surrender our influence and how reclaiming our power starts with believing in our worth, voice, and ability to create change.

You don’t have to be in a position of status to make an impact. Your thoughts, choices, and courage matter. Recognizing that you do have power—right now—is the first step toward living boldly, authentically, and purposefully.

Stop waiting for permission to be powerful. You already are.

Live fearless!

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴💗…Father’s Wisdom: Holding On to a Legacy of Faith

“Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction. Pay attention and gain understanding.

I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching. For I too was a son to my father, still tender and cherished by my mother.

Then he taught me, and he said to me, ‘Take hold of my words with all your heart. Keep my commands, and you will live.”

~Proverbs 4:1-4 (NIV)

Hello and Happy Father’s day, family! Today, we celebrate all of the amazing fathers, father figures, and those who love with the depth and dedication of a father. You are the unsung heroes who shape our lives with unwavering support, endless sacrifices, and timeless wisdom. Your love leaves a lasting impact, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Thank you for everything you do. May you enjoy today, and every day, knowing how deeply you are appreciated and loved!

Proverbs 4:1-4 reminds us that there’s something powerful about a father passing wisdom to his children. In the scripture, we get a glimpse of a sacred conversation—a father instructing his sons with a heart full of experience, love, and spiritual depth.

Solomon urges his children to listen and pay attention, because what he’s sharing is not ordinary advice—it’s a treasure passed down from his own father, King David. This is a generational chain of godly instruction, a legacy built on truth and grounded in relationship.

In a world filled with noise and distraction, the voice of a father teaching with godly wisdom is both rare and needed. This passage reminds us that sound instruction is not meant to control—it’s meant to give life. Solomon says, “Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live.”

This is more than obedience—it’s an invitation to cling to truth with all that we are. It’s a father saying, “I’ve walked this path. I know what matters. I want you to flourish.”

Whether or not we had a present or godly earthly father, the verse points us to our Heavenly Father—whose instruction is always good, always life-giving, and always worth holding onto.

This passage also reminds us that we each have a role in shaping someone else’s spiritual journey. Whether as parents, mentors, teachers, or friends, we’re called to pass on wisdom that leads to life. What we model and speak has the power to echo through generations.

Reflection:

Am I listening for the voice of wisdom in my daily life? What godly instruction have I been given that I need to hold on to? How can I become a faithful voice of wisdom in the lives of others?

Let us receive the Father’s instruction with open hearts, and then become faithful stewards of that wisdom—passing it on with love, truth, and humility.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your life-giving instruction. Teach me to treasure Your wisdom and walk in it daily. Help me to share it with others, just as it has been shared with me. Amen.

Live Faithfully. Honor the Father’s Voice. Pass On the Legacy. 💛

“Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.” — Jeremiah 31:13 (NIV)

Hello family! Have you ever felt like the music of your life just…stopped? Like sorrow silenced your joy, and dancing felt like a distant memory? God sees that place. In Jeremiah 31:13, He speaks directly into seasons of deep weariness, offering a breathtaking promise to His children: “You will dance again.”

This verse reminds us that not only does sorrow come to an end—it is transformed. Grief gives way to gladness, pain is reshaped into comfort, and despair blossoms into joy. In the hands of grace, even our deepest sorrows become the foundation of renewed hope.

In moments when hope feels distant, we must always hold onto the truth that God remains faithful and unchanging. He is the One who meets us in the valley, who catches every tear, and who gently restores our ability to laugh, sing, and yes—even dance. Whether you’re young or seasoned, weary or waiting, this promise is for you. Your joy is not lost. Your story is not over.

The God who walks with you in mourning is the same God who leads you into dancing.

Prayer:

Lord, I bring You every piece of my sorrow, every ache I’ve carried in silence. Thank You for being the God who turns mourning into gladness. Restore my joy. Help me believe that laughter and dancing are still part of my story. I trust You to make all things new. Amen.

Encouragement for Today:

Your present tears do not cancel your future joy. God is already at work, turning your sorrow into a celebration.

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷…Clothed in Strength and Dignity

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”

Proverbs 31:25-26 NIV

Happy Mother’s Day everyone! Today, we celebrate all the incredible moms, mother figures, and those who love like a mother!

In a world that demands so much of us—professionally, personally, emotionally—Proverbs 31:25–26 offers a picture of a woman who is unshaken. She is not overwhelmed by the chaos around her. Instead, she is clothed—wrapped, covered, defined—by strength and dignity. She looks to the future not with fear, but with laughter. And when she speaks, her words are wise, kind, and faithful.

This woman is not perfect by worldly standards, but her life reflects the fruit of a deep walk with God. These verses are a reminder that our value is not in our performance, appearance, or accomplishments—but in our character, and in the God who empowers us.

Reflection Question:

What would it look like in your life to be “clothed” in strength and dignity today?

Application

  • Spend time with God daily, allowing Him to clothe you in His truth and strength.
  • Practice speaking intentionally—pause before you respond and ask, “Is this wise? Is it kind?”
  • Release fear about the future. Instead, laugh—knowing your life is in God’s hands.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the example of this wise and strong woman in Proverbs 31. Clothe me today in Your strength and dignity. Teach me to trust You with the future, so I can laugh instead of worry. Let my words be wise and full of kindness. May my life reflect Your grace and truth in every season. Amen.

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴💗…He Is Risen—And So Are We: New Beginnings From Lifeless Places

Hello and Happy Resurrection Day everyone! Something special has been laid on my heart—and it’s for anyone who might be feeling a little stuck, weighed down, or even lifeless in some areas of your journey. Maybe you’re smiling on the outside, but inside, there’s a place in your heart that feels…hopeless, broken, or dormant. If that’s you, lean in close.

Let’s sit with this powerful truth from John 11:25–26 (NIV):
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Jesus spoke these words to Martha in the middle of her grief, after her brother Lazarus had died. She was heartbroken. Confused. Wondering why Jesus didn’t show up earlier. Can you relate? We’ve all had moments where we wondered if God was late, or worse—silent.

But here’s the good news: Jesus doesn’t just bring resurrection—He is the resurrection. And when He shows up, even the dead things must rise.

Easter reminds us that what looks final is never final with God. That area of your life that feels over? The dream that feels buried? The hope that’s been quietly fading? Jesus is whispering to your heart, “Do you believe this?”

And I get it—some days believing is hard. But faith doesn’t require perfection; it just requires trust. Even mustard-seed faith can move mountains, raise Lazarus, and bring you back to life.

So today, whether you’re dancing in joy or limping in faith, I want you to know this: You are not forgotten. You are not too far gone. And your story is not over. The same power that rolled away the stone is alive in you.

This Easter, let’s rise in bold belief. Let’s breathe again. Let’s trust again. Because with Jesus, even our dead ends can become new beginnings.

Stay hopeful, live faithfully, and let your spirit rise.

He is Risen, and so are we.

Savvy Reflections🩷…The Hidden Treasure Within

Hey, Sassy Squad!  Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how God is revealing more of who I truly am—the person He created me to be. He’s been reminding me that I am wonderfully unique, with hidden treasure inside that only He could place there. Today, I want to share this message with anyone who feels not enough or insignificant: YOU carry hidden treasure within you too!

That treasure is waiting to be uncovered and shared with the world, but it’s all in God’s perfect timing. Remember, He made us each one-of-a-kind— with special gifts, quirks, and talents. These are the treasures that only we can bring to the world. Your hidden treasure is directly tied to your purpose, and it is meant to be used for His glory. It’s crucial that we don’t get lost in comparing ourselves to others or live inauthentically. Instead, we must refocus on embracing who God created us to be and realign ourselves with the purpose He has set for us.

I remember a time when I believed my value was defined by others’ perceptions or by being in a romantic relationship. I often wondered why I never quite fit in, why I wasn’t chosen by a crush, or why the love I gave wasn’t always reciprocated. There was a time when I even felt unworthy of love or value. But looking back, as I began my journey of self-love and healing, God revealed to me that He loves me unconditionally, wants the best for me, and was protecting my hidden treasure all this time. The wrong person will never recognize the value of your treasure because they’re not worthy of safeguarding it.

This is why it’s so important not to rush the process or feel anxious about being discovered—if your treasure falls into the wrong hands, it can prevent you from living as your true best self and hinder you from walking boldly in your purpose.

We must recognize and wholeheartedly embrace our worth, trusting that God will lead us to the right person who will enhance, honor, and protect our value, just as God showers us with unconditional love.

Live Fabulously and Embrace Your Worth!

Love,

Ronni Lauren

Sassy Mindset💋…Embracing Authenticity

Featured

Hello Sassy Squad! Embracing authenticity has been a constant theme on the journey of becoming my best self. Every day, I’m reminded of the importance of staying true to myself—no matter the cost. This powerful quote reminds us of the importance of authenticity and self-acceptance.

In a world that often pressures us to conform or imitate others, Garland’s words encourage us to embrace our uniqueness and strive to be the best version of ourselves.

Authenticity unlocks confidence and brings true joy. By valuing our own identity and talents, we develop personal growth and success that feels real and meaningful.

Being a “first-rate version” means celebrating our uniqueness—our strengths, flaws, dreams, and passions. It’s about resisting the urge to compare ourselves to others or to mold our identity to fit societal expectations. Instead, it’s choosing to live genuinely, honoring who we truly are.

When we attempt to be like someone else, we only become a shadow of their greatness, losing our own potential in the process. True fulfillment comes when we let our own light shine, no matter how different or unconventional it may seem.

Lastly, let this quote be a reminder to stop comparing and start celebrating the one-of-a-kind person you already are.

Live unapologetically authentic!

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

~Psalms 73:26 NKJV

Hello family! Lately, I’ve been feeling God gently reminding me to trust Him as my source of strength and peace—especially when life feels completely out of my control. In the midst of it all, I came across a scripture that spoke straight to my heart, and I just had to share it with you. This verse beautifully acknowledges human weakness and mortality while emphasizing God’s unwavering strength and consistent support.

I know many of you can relate to being so overcome with your emotions in challenging situations that you react with your heart and not with clarity in your mind. In those moments, it’s easy to feel powerless and overwhelmed. But this verse reminds us that even when our own hearts fail and our strength runs out, God remains our constant source of support.

It’s comforting to know that when we are at our weakest, God’s strength never falters. Instead of relying solely on our limited abilities, we can lean on His unfailing power and faithfulness. Let this verse encourage you to surrender your struggles to God, trusting that He will be your portion and your strength, no matter what you face.

Prayer:

Lord, help us to trust in Your unfailing power and to surrender our struggles to You. Fill us with Your peace, and guide us to rest in the comfort of Your presence.

When we feel powerless, renew our spirits and give us the courage to rely on You completely. Thank You for being our refuge and our strength in every situation.

Live faithfully!

Behind Every Smile is a Story… Discover How I Embraced Joy Through a Smile Makeover

Hello, Sassy Squad! I have had this on my heart for a while, and I’m finally ready to share it with you. Transforming my smile enhanced my appearance and empowered me to embrace life and joy with renewed confidence. Before sharing the results of my smile makeover, I should explain the context of how my smile was before the transformation.

As a quiet and shy child, smiling became my way of connecting with the world. It was my way of holding on to optimism, no matter what, and sharing that positive energy with everyone around me. That smile became my superpower, spreading positivity to everyone I met.

My friends started calling me “Smiley” because I smiled so much. When I was 6 years old, a freak accident changed my smile. One day, while I was walking home, I got spooked by a dog chasing me and kept glancing behind in fear. Before I knew it, I ran straight into a streetlight pole, and the impact chipped my front tooth.

All my life, I have struggled with confidence, and when I damaged my smile, it only made things worse from my teenage years into adulthood.  A bright smile can truly transform how we see ourselves and how others see us. I remember hiding my smile in pictures and feeling self-conscious when talking to others because I thought that everyone was staring at my chipped tooth.

Fast forward to 2020, I began my self-love journey by enhancing my overall wellness, mentally, physically, and spiritually. In 2022, I finally faced my fears and went to the orthodontist to fix my smile with Invisalign. For those who may not be familiar with Invisalign, it is an alternative to traditional metal braces. Instead of brackets and wires, Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to help straighten your teeth. The number of aligners you receive will depend on the length of your specific treatment. In my case, it took me two years to complete the orthodontic treatment.

My smile journey was challenging and rewarding at the same time. There were times when I felt like I couldn’t endure the treatment until the end, but what motivated me to keep going was the happiness and joy I knew I would experience with my transformation upon completing it. Most importantly, I clung to the promise that God gave me about restoring my smile.

Since completing my orthodontic treatment in 2024, I have become a better version of myself. I am continually gaining back my confidence and gratitude for every challenge I faced on this journey toward loving the woman I’m becoming. I’ve been more intentional about embracing my authentic self.

Cultivating my mental, spiritual, and physical wellness has allowed me to fully embrace the authentic self that God created. I have recently discovered that my smile journey has deepened my love for who I truly am. When I chose to fix my smile, it was a way to nurture my inner child and restore my joy within.

I hope my smile journey has inspired and encouraged you to prioritize being your authentic self, no matter what — even if the whole world is on a different path. Always choose to follow your joy in every life decision you make and in the people you surround yourself with. Ultimately, you only have one life to live, so cherish love, hope, and happiness in all forms. Who is prepared to be their best selves and live the life they were meant to live?

Live Fearlessly and Choose Joy!

Love always,

Sassy Mindset💋… Standing Strong Together: The Power of Every Woman’s Voice

Hello and Happy Women’s History Month, Sassy Squad! To kick off the celebration of Women’s History Month, I couldn’t resist sharing this powerful quote with you. In a world that has historically worked to silence women’s voices, Maya Angelou’s words, “Each time a woman stands up for herself, she stands for all women,” carry immense weight.

They remind us that each act of self-empowerment, each decision to rise and assert one’s rights, echoes far beyond the individual. When one woman finds her voice, it reverberates across generations, inspiring others to do the same.

This quote highlights that womanhood is not a solitary journey. When a woman stands tall—whether in her career, community, or personal life—she sets an example for others. Her strength becomes a guiding light for those struggling to find their place in the world.

Lastly, this quote serves as both a call to action and a reminder of the power inherent in every woman. When one woman stands up for herself, she is not only standing for her own rights, but for all women—past, present, and future. In every act of courage, we honor the women who came before us and pave the way for those who will follow. Let us embrace the power of standing tall, and let us never underestimate the ripple effect of our actions. Each time we rise, we rise together.

Live fearlessly!

Love Always,

“My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my hope is from Him.”Psalms 62:5 NKJV

Hello, Spiritual Family! Many of us can relate to the feeling of walking through a storm with no clear direction, waiting for answers, longing for peace, and hoping for relief. How often do we find ourselves questioning where to turn in these moments? It is in these very times that Psalms 62:5 serves as a powerful reminder: our hope is found in God alone.

Finding Strength in the Waiting

Believe me, waiting can be challenging at times. It often comes with frustration, doubt, and fear. But God does not call us to wait anxiously—He calls us to wait in silence and trust in Him. This doesn’t mean we do nothing; it means we choose to rest in His promises instead of relying on our own understanding.

God’s love is unwavering. Even when we don’t see the way forward, He is working behind the scenes, strengthening us for what’s ahead. I can personally testify that when we place our hope in Him, we are no longer controlled by fear, but empowered by faith.

Hope That Anchors the Soul

The world offers temporary solutions, but God provides an eternal anchor for our souls. His love is steadfast, and His plans for us are good—even when we can’t see the full picture. Psalms 62:5 reminds us to shift our focus from the uncertainties of life to the certainty of God’s faithfulness.

When we face challenges, we can either allow worry to consume us or we can choose to trust in God’s love. He sees the end from the beginning, and He promises to walk with us every step of the way.

Endurance Through Faith

Endurance is built not in ease, but in trials. God allows seasons of waiting and difficulty to strengthen our faith, deepen our trust, and refine our hearts. It is through these challenges that we learn to depend on Him more fully and experience the depth of His love in a way we never have before.

So, if you are facing uncertainties today, take heart—your hope is secure in God. He is your rock, your refuge, and your unfailing source of strength.

A Prayer for Strength and Hope

“Lord, in the midst of my waiting, help me to trust in You. When I feel uncertain, remind me that my hope is in You alone. Strengthen me to endure, give me peace in the waiting, and fill my heart with the confidence that You are always working for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

No matter what you are facing today, remember this: God’s love will never fail you. Your hope in Him will never be in vain. Stand firm, trust in His promises, and let His love be your strength.

Live faithfully and hopeful!

Love Always,

🩷Ronni Lauren

Savvy Reflections🩷…. Finding the Right Audience: Using Your Voice with Wisdom & Discernment

Hello family ! Have you ever felt frustrated because you knew your heart was pure, but your voice still wasn’t being received the way you intended? This is something I constantly struggle with and continue learning through every season of growth.

One thing life is teaching me is that not every space deserves your voice, and not every ear is prepared for your wisdom. Discernment is learning the difference.

Using your voice isn’t about speaking louder. It’s about speaking wiser. It’s knowing when to pour, when to pause, and when to protect your peace. Some people will misunderstand your heart no matter how clearly you explain it. Others will hear one sentence from you and feel seen, healed, and inspired.

That’s why wisdom matters.

Stop exhausting yourself trying to convince rooms that were never assigned to you. Your voice is valuable, but it flourishes in the right environment. Find the people who honor your truth instead of fighting against it. Find the audience that listens with respect, not jealousy. Find the spaces where your insight is received as nourishment, not competition.

Discernment will save you from wasting energy.

Wisdom will teach you where to plant your words.

And maturity will show you that silence can be just as powerful as speaking.

Your voice is a gift from God. Use it carefully. Use it intentionally. Use it where it can grow, heal, elevate, and inspire.

You do not need everyone to understand you.

You only need alignment with the people assigned to hear you.

Stay Sassy, Savvy, and True!

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
‭‭~Psalm 1‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hello family! Have you ever felt like everyone else is thriving while you’re just… trying to keep it together? Like you’re putting in the work, staying faithful, doing “all the right things,” but the growth you expected hasn’t shown up yet?

In a world that glorifies quick wins, instant results, and highlight reels, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind. But here’s the truth, you’re not behind, you’re being rooted.

When you’re rooted in God, you’re not out here chasing every opportunity, every validation, or every vibe that looks good on the surface. You’re grounded. You’re sustained. You’re connected to a source that doesn’t dry up when life gets unpredictable.

We want fruit now. We want the glow-up, the breakthrough, the answered prayer, immediately. But God is not in the business of rushed growth. He’s in the business of right timing. Your season is coming, and when it does? It’s going to be mind blowing.

Meanwhile, your leaves aren’t withering. That means even when it feels dry, even when life is life-ing, you’re still sustained. You’re still covered. You’re still growing in ways you can’t even see yet.

Whatever you do prospers. Not because everything is perfect, but because you’re aligned. There’s a grace on your life when you stay planted in God. What you touch carries purpose. What you build carries weight. What you walk through produces something in you.

So no, you don’t need to uproot yourself every time things feel slow.

No, you don’t need to compare your timeline to someone else’s highlight reel.

And absolutely not, you don’t need to settle for environments that drain you instead of grow you.

Stay planted. Stay rooted. Stay watered.

A rooted woman doesn’t just survive, she flourishes.

Reflection Question:

Am I staying planted where God has me, or am I constantly uprooting myself chasing quicker results?

This week, commit to being still long enough to grow. Spend intentional time with God daily, and trust that He’s strengthening your roots beneath the surface.

Affirmation:

I am rooted in God, not rushed by the world. I trust His timing, I honor my season, and I will flourish exactly where I am planted.

Stay Sassy. Stay True. Stay Savvy.

Live faithfully, and Planted!

Savvy Reflections🩷…Keeping Your Savvy in Toxic Spaces

Hello family! Have you ever walked into a room and felt the energy shift immediately? The side-eyes, the subtle shade, the unspoken competition… yeah, that kind of space. Toxic doesn’t always shout; sometimes it’s silent. And if you’re not rooted in who you are, it will have you shrinking, second-guessing, and shape-shifting just to survive.

Whew, let me tell you I used to be a certified people pleaser. Saying yes when I meant no. Dimming my light to make others comfortable. Twisting myself into versions that I thought people would accept. I was showing up everywhere except as my true self.

And the wild part? I didn’t even realize I was doing it.

I thought I was being kind. I thought I was being easygoing.  But really, I was abandoning myself in the name of approval. I didn’t fully know who I was, so I let other people define me. And in toxic spaces? That’s the quickest way to lose your footing.

One day, it hit me: This isn’t who I am.

Not the watered-down version. Not the overly accommodating version. Not the version that bends just to belong.

I realized that the discomfort I felt wasn’t because I wasn’t enough, it was because I wasn’t being authentic. I was out of alignment with my God-given identity. And once that clicked? Oh, everything started to shift.

I understood that I didn’t need to adjust to toxic environments, I needed to anchor myself in truth.

Here’s the tea: toxic spaces will try to test you. They’ll test your confidence, your boundaries, your identity. But staying savvy means you don’t fold under pressure, you stand firm in who you are.

You don’t have to match energy.

You don’t have to prove your worth.

And you definitely don’t have to stay connected to anything that doesn’t align.

Being a savvy chick isn’t about being unbothered all the time, it’s about being aware, intentional, and rooted.

When you know who you are, you move differently. You start asking:

  • Does this align with who I’m becoming?
  • Is this connection pouring into me or draining me?
  • Am I shrinking to fit, or standing tall in truth?

And if the answer isn’t sitting right in your spirit? You already know what to do.

Refuse it.

Refuse the fake connections.

Refuse the environments that require you to dim your light.

Refuse anything that tries to pull you out of alignment with your purpose.

Because protecting your peace isn’t selfish, it’s strategic.

You don’t have to lose yourself just because you’re surrounded by dysfunction. You don’t have to become toxic to survive toxic. The real glow-up is walking in authenticity no matter the environment.

Stay grounded in who God says you are.

Stand in your power, even if you have to stand alone.

And remember not every space deserves access to you.

Affirmation:

I am rooted in my truth. I honor who I am, and I refuse to shrink, settle, or sacrifice my identity for any space or connection.

Now go ahead and keep it classy, confident, and savvy, no matter what room you step into.

Stay Sassy, Savvy, and True!
