Savvy Reflections🩷: Instead of Asking “Why Me?” Ask “Why Not You?”

Hello Sassy Family! Have you ever found yourself facing a difficult season and asking, “Why is this happening to me?” Maybe you’ve experienced rejection, disappointment, loss, or an unexpected detour that left you questioning God’s plan. What if the question isn’t “Why me?” but rather “Why not me?”

Recently, God revealed something powerful to my heart. So often, when challenges arise, we immediately assume that we have been singled out for suffering. We wonder why our journey seems harder than someone else’s. We question why doors close, why prayers seem delayed, and why life doesn’t always unfold according to our plans.

But God reminded me that challenges are not evidence of His absence. They are often opportunities for His presence to be revealed.

When we ask, “Why me?” we focus on the problem. When we ask, “Why not me?” we begin to focus on the purpose.

Why not me to be the one who learns resilience through hardship?

Why not me to develop greater faith during uncertainty?

Why not me to become a testimony of God’s faithfulness?

Why not me to inspire someone else through my journey?

The truth is, growth rarely happens in comfort. The brightest diamonds withstand pressure. The most powerful testimonies are often born from life’s most difficult chapters.

Perhaps the situation you’re facing today isn’t punishment it’s preparation.

Perhaps the delay is developing patience.

Perhaps the closed door is protecting you from something not meant for you.

Perhaps the challenge is building the strength you’ll need for your next season.

When we shift our perspective from victimhood to purpose, everything changes. We stop asking why life is happening to us and start asking what God is teaching us through it.

The next time you find yourself asking, “Why me?” pause and consider a different question:

“Why not me?”

Why not be the one God uses to demonstrate faith in adversity?

Why not be the one who overcomes?

Why not be the one whose story encourages others to keep going?

Why not be the one who discovers that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness?

Your struggle does not disqualify you, it may be the very thing God uses to elevate you. The challenge you’re facing today could become the testimony you’re sharing tomorrow.

Trust the process. Trust God’s timing. Trust that He is working all things together for your good, even when you cannot see it.

Your story is still being written, and God is not finished with you yet.

Reflection Question:

What situation in your life have you been asking “Why me?” about, and how might your perspective change if you began asking, “Why not me?” and looked for the purpose God may be developing through it?

Stay Sassy. Stay Faithful. Stay True.

Hi Everyone! I hope you’re inspired by this letter to self because I surely am! Always remember that we are our own worst critiques and sometimes we let fear, pain, and regrets hold us back from the greatness that we are destined to achieve. So please be reminded that your journey to becoming the best version of yourself can only begin once you change your mindset to believe that you are worthy of greatness and that you are well equipped to survive each trial and tribulation that you may experience while on that journey to help uplift and inspire someone else.

Embrace the beauty in your journey to greatness,

Hi Everyone!

This quote reminds me that in times when I feel overwhelmed and faced with one let down after another to not worry or let stress overtake me. I am not in control of the lessons that are meant to be learned along my journey, or who will be placed in my life to teach them. I am in control of how I go through each test. Take heed to the each lesson learned in order to avoid repeating the same lesson. Remember that HOPE=Hold On Pain Ends.

Learning to Love the Girl I Once Was on the Journey to Becoming the Woman I am Today

Looking back at the girl I used to be and the woman I’m becoming, I realized that every insecure thought, loss, and painful experience had a predestined purpose in my life. They were all necessary to help shape me into the strong, unbreakable, and graceful woman that stands before you today.

I once tried to run away from things that didn’t fit into the illusion of sunshine and rainbows that I imagined for my life’s journey. I now realize that learning to accept things along your path that force you to leap out of your comfort zone will bring out your inner strength and resilience to face hardships. One’s growth is a remnant of the past and proof that there is great promise in the future that lies ahead. Be encouraged! Grow gracefully!

Love,

Let Faith Carry You Through…Your Growth Depends On It

In this season of brokenness, I can truly say that my faith has been tested to the max. There are times that I felt like I just couldn’t push through it any longer and giving up hope was the only option. I began to question: Why am I experiencing so much pain and disappointment in my life? God is constantly reminding me that he has me in his hand and that it is all to make me a stronger person in the end. The picture is now clearer that I have a greater purpose to fulfill. Each challenging experience along life’s journey is to help you grow into the person that God already designed you to become. I have learned that pain is needed in the process of growth to stretch your faith and ability to trust completely in God to deliver you out of the trial. I hope this encourages someone and inspires them to push through difficult times even when it seems like it is impossible to do. Just know that you are being elevated to a higher level and through your story someone will be lifted too. Also, know that God will restore everything that you may have lost in his perfect timing.

Stay encouraged,
