“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hello family! Have you ever faced a season where the challenges seemed to come one after another and you wondered how you would make it through?

Life has a way of bringing us into seasons we never expected. Sometimes the waters rise in the form of disappointment, heartbreak, uncertainty, or unanswered prayers. Other times, we find ourselves walking through fires that test our faith, stretch our patience, and challenge our strength.

Challenges are a part of life, but God’s promise is not that we will avoid them. His promise is that we will not face them alone.

The waters may rise, but they will not overwhelm you. The fire may surround you, but it will not consume you.

There may be situations in your life right now that feel bigger than your ability to handle. You may be wondering how everything will work out. This verse is a reminder that God’s presence is greater than any obstacle you face. What feels overwhelming to you is never overwhelming to Him.

Today, choose to trust that God is walking with you through every challenge. The same God who carried you through previous seasons is carrying you now. Your circumstances may not change overnight, but His faithfulness remains constant.

You are not abandoned. You are not forgotten. You are not facing this season alone.

God is with you in the waters. God is with you in the fire. And because He is with you, you can keep moving forward in faith.

Reflection Question:

What “waters” or “fires” are you facing today, and how can you intentionally trust God’s presence instead of focusing on the size of the challenge?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me through every season of life. When challenges arise and fear tries to take hold, remind me that I am never alone. Help me trust Your presence more than I trust my circumstances. Strengthen my faith, guide my steps, and give me peace knowing that You are carrying me through every storm. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Affirmation:

I will not be overwhelmed by the waters or consumed by the fire, because God is with me wherever I go.

Stay Sassy. Stay Savvy. Stay True.

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷: What God Has for You Is Bigger Than You Can See

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, Neither have entered into the heart of man, The things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
‭‭
1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hello family! Sometimes life can feel discouraging when things are not happening as quickly as we hoped. You pray, work, heal, grow, and trust… yet you still cannot fully see what God is doing behind the scenes. But that is the beautiful part about walking by faithGod’s plans are often bigger than our imagination can hold.

1 Corinthians 2:9 reminds us that the blessings, opportunities, healing, peace, connections, and purpose God has for you are beyond what you can currently picture. Even your biggest dreams may still be too small compared to what Heaven has prepared for your life.

That closed door?

It may have protected you.

That delay?

It may be preparing you.

That season of uncertainty?

It may be building the version of you that can handle the blessing that is coming.

Don’t allow temporary frustration to convince you that God has forgotten you. Sometimes the greatest blessings are being formed in places your natural eyes cannot yet see.

Keep showing up.

Keep praying.

Keep believing.

Keep becoming.

Your current chapter is not the final chapter.

God is still writing a story that will exceed your expectations in ways you never imagined. And one day, you will look back and realize that what felt like confusion was actually divine preparation all along.

Reflection Question:

What would change in your mindset if you truly believed God’s plans for you were greater than anything you could currently imagine?

Stay Sassy. Stay True. Stay Savvy.

Sassy Mindset💋…Do it Anyway: Stepping Into the Life You’re Meant to Live

Hello Sassy family! I don’t know who can relate to overthinking, procrastinating, and letting your thoughts talk you out doing the thing that will help you become your best self and bring you joy in the long run. If any one needs  push to do that thing  like I do… this quote was laid on my heart to share it with you.

“You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt

Many of you can relate…doing the thing you think you cannot do sounds inspiring until it’s time to actually do it. That’s when the doubts get loud. That’s when fear starts disguising itself as logic. “What if I fail?” “What if I’m not ready?” “What if people judge me?” And just like that, we convince ourselves to stay comfortable instead of stepping into growth.

We must remember that the very thing you’re avoiding might be the doorway to your next level.

Take it from me that growth has never lived in comfort. Confidence isn’t something you magically wake up with, it’s built every time you choose courage over fear. Every time you show up despite the doubts. Every time you try, even when success isn’t guaranteed.

Doing the thing you think you cannot do isn’t about perfection, it’s about permission. Permission to start messy. Permission to learn as you go. Permission to not have it all figured out and still move forward anyway.

Think about it: what’s that one thing that keeps tugging at your heart? The dream you keep postponing. The risk you keep avoiding. The step you keep overthinking.

Now imagine what your life could look like if you just… tried.

Because sometimes, the breakthrough isn’t waiting on more preparation, it’s waiting on your decision to move.

So this is your reminder:
You don’t have to feel ready.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You just have to be willing.

Do the thing.
Send the message.
Start the project.
Speak up.
Show up.

And watch how life begins to meet you on the other side of that decision.

You are more capable than your fear wants you to believe.

Reflection Question:
What is one thing you’ve been telling yourself you “can’t” do and what would taking the very first small step toward it look like this week?

Live Fearlessly!

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴🩷…Fearless Faith: Remembering God Is Already Ahead of You

“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” ~Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV

Hello family! There are moments in life when we step into unfamiliar territory. A new season. A new responsibility. While those moments can be exciting, they can also bring fear, uncertainty, and questions about whether we’re truly ready.

This is why Deuteronomy 31:8 is such a powerful reminder of God’s presence.

In this scripture, Moses encourages Joshua as he prepares to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. Joshua was stepping into a major leadership role after Moses, and the weight of that responsibility could have easily filled him with doubt. But Moses reminded him of something greater than his fears:

God was already ahead of him.

That same promise applies to us today.

When we face new challenges or transitions, we often focus on what we don’t know or what we feel unprepared for. But this scripture shifts our perspective. It reminds us that before we ever arrive at the next chapter of our lives, God has already gone before us.

He has already prepared the path.

He already knows what we will encounter.

And most importantly, He promises that we will not walk through it alone.

Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged.

Fear tends to grow when we rely only on our own strength. But faith grows when we remember that God is both our guide and our companion. He doesn’t just send us forward and hope for the best; He walks with us every step of the way.

Knowing this gives us the courage to move forward even when the path feels uncertain.

Sometimes God calls us into spaces that stretch us beyond our comfort zone. It may be a new calling, a new opportunity, or even a season of personal growth. In those moments, we are not stepping into those spaces alone.

God’s presence provides the reassurance we need to keep moving forward.

When we trust that He goes before us, we can walk confidently in the purpose He has placed on our lives.

Reflection:

Where in your life do you need to trust that God has already gone before you?

Take a moment to remember this promise: God is already ahead of you. He is preparing the way, strengthening your faith, and walking beside you through every step.

Because when God goes before you, there is nothing ahead that He hasn’t already accounted for.

And that is more than enough reason to move forward with faith.

Live Faithful,

Soul Food 🙏🏾🪴🩷…When God Says, “Arise”: Stepping Into a New Season

The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.

Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.”

~Song of Songs 2:13 (NIV)

Hello family! Have you ever felt stuck in a waiting season longing for healing, clarity, or the confidence to move forward? Many women faithfully show up for life while feeling something inside them is still dormant. Song of Songs 2:13 reminds us that God works in seasons, and He knows exactly when it’s time for you to rise.

This verse is a picture of awakening. Fruit is forming. Fragrance is filling the air. Growth is no longer hidden beneath the soil, it’s visible.

Before God says “Arise,” He points to the evidence of readiness. The fig tree doesn’t rush its fruit, and the vine doesn’t force its bloom. Everything happens in its appointed time. In the same way, the season you thought was stagnant may have been sacred preparation.

God doesn’t call us forward with pressure or shame. He calls us with love. He sees the beauty in us even when we’ve been doubting ourselves. He invites us not just to move, but to move with Him.

Growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like quiet faithfulness, unseen healing, and courage slowly returning. And when the time is right, God gently says, “It’s time. Come with Me.”

You may be entering a season where God is asking you to stop hiding in survival mode and start walking in purpose. The fruit forming in your life; your wisdom, resilience, compassion, and faith didn’t appear overnight. It was cultivated through prayer, patience, and perseverance.

If God is calling you to arise, it doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out. It simply means He’s ready to lead you into what He’s already been preparing.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being a God of perfect timing. Help me trust the seasons You allow in my life. Give me the courage to arise when You call and the faith to walk with You into what’s next. Remind me that I am loved, chosen, and beautifully created for purpose. Amen.

Reflection:

  • What fruit has been quietly forming in my life?
  • Where might God be inviting me to arise instead of retreat?

Sometimes the most powerful step forward begins with simply saying, “Yes, Lord. I’ll come with You.”

Live faithfully,

Soul Food 🙏🏾🪴🩷…Trust and Do Good: Living Rooted in God’s Faithfulness

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.”

~Psalm 37:3 NKJV

Hello family! Have you ever found yourself doing all the “right” things, yet still wondering if God sees you? You’re trusting, praying, waiting and if you’re honest, sometimes it feels like nothing is moving. Psalm 37:3 meets us right there, in that space between faith and frustration, and gently reminds us how we’re called to live while we wait.

Trust isn’t passive. It’s not pretending everything is fine or ignoring the questions in your heart. Trust is choosing God even when the outcome is unclear. It’s placing your hope in His character, not in circumstances lining up the way you planned. Trust says, “God, I don’t understand this season, but I still believe You are good.”

While we’re waiting on God to move, He calls us to keep living with purpose. Keep loving. Keep showing up. Keep being kind when it would be easier to withdraw. Doing good in the waiting keeps our hearts soft and aligned with Him.

Don’t rush past the season you’re in. God is present here, not just in the future you’re hoping for. Dwelling means staying rooted instead of restless, choosing peace over panic, and believing that God can meet you exactly where you are.

God invites us to nourish our souls with reminders of who He’s been. Remember the prayers He’s already answered. The doors He’s opened. The strength He gave you when you thought you wouldn’t make it. When we feed on His faithfulness, fear loses its grip and gratitude takes its place.

Reflection:

Where is God asking you to trust Him more deeply and how can you continue to do good right where you are?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to trust You fully, even when the path ahead feels uncertain. Teach me to do good with a willing heart and to remain rooted in this season. Remind me daily of Your faithfulness, and let it strengthen my faith. Amen.

Family, waiting doesn’t mean wasting. God is working even when you can’t see it. Stay rooted. Stay faithful. Keep trusting. And let His faithfulness be the thing that sustains you.

Go into today choosing trust over fear, goodness over doubt, and faith over frustration!

Bring back our captivity, O Lord, As the streams in the South.

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.”

‭‭~Psalms‬ ‭126‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hello family! Have you ever found yourself doing all the right things: praying, believing, showing up, yet wondering if any of it is actually making a difference? Maybe you’re sowing seeds with tired hands and a heavy heart, hoping something will eventually change.

Psalm 126:4–6 is a powerful reminder that God is at work even in seasons that feel dry, delayed, or discouraging. These verses speak directly to those who are sowing in faith while still waiting to see the fruit of their obedience.

God does not waste our tears. He uses them to bring restoration, renewal, and an abundant harvest in His perfect timing.

Keep planting seeds of faith, prayer, obedience, and trust, even when results aren’t immediate. It reassures us that perseverance will be rewarded and that seasons of sorrow can give way to songs of joy.

God is faithful to restore what feels lost and to turn mourning into rejoicing for those who continue to trust Him.

Reflection:

What seeds are you currently sowing in faith, even though the harvest hasn’t appeared yet? How can you continue trusting God with the outcome?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You see every tear, every prayer, and every seed sown in faith. When the waiting feels long and the ground feels dry, help me not to lose heart. Strengthen my trust in Your timing and remind me that You are always working, even when I can’t see it. I place my hope in You, believing that joy will come and that You will bring a harvest from what I’ve faithfully planted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t give up in the waiting. What you sow in faith today will one day be reaped in joy.

Soul Food 🙏🏾🪴🩷…Grace That Rewrites Your Story

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

‭‭~I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hello family! Let me ask you this, have you ever looked at your life and wondered, “Why would God choose someone like me?” If so, you’re not alone. The scripture I’m sharing with you today speaks directly to that feeling.

1 Corinthians 15:9-10 is a powerful reminder that God’s grace doesn’t just cover us, it transforms us.

In verse 9, Paul shows that he understood what like to have a past that didn’t align with his present assignment. He once persecuted the very church he later helped build. Maybe you’re carrying something today…regret, shame, insecurity, or a feeling that God couldn’t possibly use someone like you.

Also, please remember that Grace is not about who you were. It’s about who God is.

In verse 10, Paul is showing us that grace doesn’t excuse us from purpose, it empowers us for it. When God places His grace on your life, it shifts the trajectory of your story. It turns weakness into strength, doubt into confidence, and past mistakes into powerful testimony.

God doesn’t just call the qualified, he qualifies the called.

If you’ve been questioning your worth, your calling, or your place in God’s plan, let this verse settle in your heart today:

You are not who your past says you are.

You are who God’s grace is shaping you to be.

And His grace always comes with purpose.

Reflection Question:

Where in your life have you been disqualifying yourself when God has already extended grace?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your grace that finds me, changes me, and carries me. Help me to stop viewing myself through the lens of my past and to embrace who You are calling me to be. Strengthen me to walk boldly in my purpose, knowing that Your grace is working in and through me. Amen.

This week, whenever doubt creeps in, speak this truth over yourself:

“By the grace of God, I am who He says I am.”

Write it down, whisper it in prayer, or declare it until your heart believes it.

Live Faithfully and Aligned with Purpose,

Soul Food🙏🏾🪴💗…Covered in Calm: Embracing God’s Peace in Every Season

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. ~Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

Hello family! Have you ever caught yourself lying awake at night, replaying the same worries over and over, wondering if this will finally be the thing that breaks you? We’ve all been there. So here’s the question: What do you tend to do first when anxiety shows up: panic, shut down, or try to fix everything yourself?

Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us that there is a better way to face anxiety whenever it tries to rise in our lives.

Instead of carrying the weight alone, we must bring every burden, big or small, before God through prayer and honest conversation. When we choose prayer over panic, surrender over spiraling, something powerful happens: God exchanges our anxiety for His peace. Not a temporary calm or a quick emotional fix, but a deep, guarding peace that covers our hearts and minds like a shield.

This passage is a gentle reminder that peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances; it’s found in God’s presence. When we release what we can’t control, we make room for the peace that surpasses all understanding to settle in.

Reflection:

What worry can you hand over to God today?

Affirmation:

I choose prayer over panic, and God’s peace covers me completely.

Soul Food: 🙏🏾🪴🩷…Finding Strength and Shelter in the Rock That Is Higher Than You

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer.

From the end of the earth I will cry to You,

When my heart is overwhelmed;

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For You have been a shelter for me,

A strong tower from the enemy.”

~Psalm 61:1–3 (NKJV)

Hello family! Let’s be honest there are days when life just feels heavy. You’re doing your best to keep it together, but inside, your heart feels overwhelmed. Maybe it’s the endless to-do list, the heartbreak you didn’t see coming, or the quiet moments where you wonder if anyone really understands.

If that’s you today, take a deep breath because Psalm 61 is your reminder that you don’t have to be strong on your own.

David didn’t hide his struggle. He cried out to God and said, “When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” I love that. He wasn’t asking for all the answers; he was asking to be lifted higher above the noise, above the fear, above the weight of it all.

You don’t have to fix every problem or hold everything together. God is your Rock, your Shelter, your Safe Place. He’s not asking you to do more; He’s inviting you to rest in Him.

So today, instead of trying to carry it all, take your weary heart and lean into His strength. Let Him lift you higher.

Reflection:

When your heart feels overwhelmed, where do you turn first and how can you remind yourself to turn to God as your Rock and Shelter this week?

Prayer:

When my heart feels heavy and my strength fades, lead me to You; the Rock that is higher than I. Thank You for being my refuge, my shelter, and my safe place. Help me release what I cannot control and rest in Your presence. Remind me that I am never alone, even in my most overwhelmed moments. Strengthen my faith and steady my heart in You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’d love to hear from you, Sassy family! 💕
