“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

Hello Sassy family! Have you ever felt like you’ve been walking through a wilderness season? A season where every door seemed closed, every prayer felt delayed, and the path ahead looked uncertain? Sometimes life leaves us standing in places we never imagined, wondering if things will ever change. If this is the current season you’re in, Isaiah 43:19 was laid on my heart to share with you.

This scripture reminds us that our current season is not the end of our story. While we may be focused on what we’ve lost or what’s behind us, God is already preparing something new. He’s working behind the scenes in ways we can’t yet see.

The beauty of this promise is that God doesn’t wait for perfect conditions to bless us. He creates rivers in dry places and makes roads where none existed. He specializes in turning impossible situations into powerful testimonies.

Maybe your “new thing” is healing after heartbreak. Maybe it’s a new career opportunity, restored relationships, renewed purpose, or a deeper walk with Christ. Whatever it is, trust that God’s timing is perfect. Don’t allow yesterday’s disappointments to cause you to miss today’s miracles.

I’m a living witness that the wilderness isn’t meant to destroy you. It’s where God reveals His faithfulness. Every challenge has been preparing you for the blessing that’s on the other side.

Today, choose to release what no longer serves God’s purpose for your life. Open your heart to the new opportunities, new growth, and new mercies He is bringing your way. Your next chapter doesn’t have to look like your last one because the Author of your story is writing something beautiful.

Reflection

Where is God asking you to keep trusting Him, even though you can’t yet see the path He is creating?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the God of new beginnings. Help me to trust You even when I cannot see the path ahead. Strengthen my faith as I walk through uncertain seasons, knowing that You are making a way where there seems to be none. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your current situation is not your final destination. God is already creating a path where you only see obstacles. Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep moving forward—your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

Stay Sassy. Stay Savvy. Stay True.

Live Faithful,

New Year, Embracing the New You!

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Isaiah 43:19 KJV

Hello, Sassy family! Happy New Year! Sorry for checking in so late in the New Year. I hope everyone’s year is off to a great start. This is my first post of 2024 and I’m so glad to be back. I’m not sure if anyone can relate, but January has flown by, and I am still trying to catch up in February.

Each year gives us a chance to make a brand-new start and one step closer to making our dreams a reality. Since New Year’s resolutions are sometimes forgotten after January, I decided to create an action plan that will help keep me focused and motivated to execute each action step in the plan. My action plan for this year includes the following action steps:

  1. Walk boldly in my purpose.
  2. Let faith be bigger than my fear.
  3. Give myself more grace and take one step at a time to achieve a goal.
  4. Embrace all the parts of the woman I am becoming, past and present.
  5. Be grateful for each moment that I have experienced on my journey.
  6. Posture my heart to surrender every aspect of my life to God’s will.
  7. Be more intentional about growing my relationship with God by spending more time with him will help keep me focused and give me the strength to continue taking steps toward living my dream life.

I hope that the action steps I have shared will inspire you to create a personal action plan.  The scripture that was laid on my heart to share with you all is Isaiah 43:19. I truly believe that God is doing a new thing within and all around us. We must trust in his plan and embrace the new beginnings.

Whenever I attempt to repeat old patterns of thinking or ways of doing a thing, I find myself feeling extremely uncomfortable and unable to go back to the woman I once was. It’s like when a plant grows new roots and must be repotted to keep it growing and healthy. I now know that God is transforming my mind and preparing me for my destiny.

I’m determined to push forward in faith because my purpose is bigger than me. Each day, I grow more excited for God to reveal more about my purpose, the woman he designed me to be, and to receive all the blessings God has in store this year and I’m believing that he will do the same for you too!

Be blessed and may your year be amazing!
